As I've explained in other threads, I am law enforcement and I'd never allow a family member to talk to a LEO without legal representation. Especially at the federal level where even a small lie can land you in jail.

It's called being smart.

Oh gosh! They are doing what Bathhouse Barry and Co. did! Oh Lord!

If lawyering up and refusing to cooperate in investigations is the hallmark of corruption, then the last 8 years may be the most corrupt administration ever.

Can you blame them?

People exist who want to destroy them and their families.
I don't buy the "refusing to cooperate" line.
They're cooperating with those who matter.

It means that the investigations will be forced to proceed to issue subpoenas and compel more testimony under oath and the scope of inquiry will continue to expand. That is what it means.

Yep.

When you're at least a person of interest in an investigation, law enforcement and state/fed prosecutors are most certainly not your friend as they are looking for anything to nail anyone on trumped up charges. They're on a hunt and any good looking game will do.

Exactly. The left act like it would be any different if they were in Trumps shoes. At this point, for their protection, EVERYBODY would be seeking legal advice.

Do you really believe that they were not already receiving legal counsel?

It would be supremely dumb not to lawyer up. Most people don't realize what is and what is not their right. And I have seen people blurt shite out that wasn't even relevant to the questions being asked simply out of nervousness. I've seen people refuse to answer even the most basic of questions, making themselves look guilty of something they probably didn't even do , out of sheer nervousness.

And you know what? I was 100% trained to take advantage of ALL OF THAT to solve crimes.

For example, how many people realize it's perfectly legal for a LEO to lie to them during an interview? I had a guy one time, I lied and told him his partner had already confessed and blamed everything on him. The guy broke down and told me everything. I didn't even know he HAD a partner. Just a guess and a good lie LOL. Perfectly legal. The guy should have asked for a lawyer.
