I like music of all genres but rap and new country just sucks. I can listen to some of the rap that was popular when I was young but rarely listen to that.

I’m shocked nobody has mentioned AC/DC yet.

Do you even Steve Miller Band baw?

Steve Miller's music from the late 60's and early 70's was his best.
"Sailor" LP (1968) with Boz Scaggs is one of my favorites.
Yes, I'm old.

70-90s were the best decades for music, period. There had not been a new genre of music since the 90’s. Top 40 radio is computer generated garbage by engineers, not musicians.

Jelly roll sucks. Most country music nowadays sucks

I like a couple of his songs, but I agree that the country music played on radio sucks. There are very few country artists that receive radio play I can stand to listen to. It's mostly YouTube music for me. I can pick the artist and songs I like.

What triggered this? Did someone tell you to turn down your Lil Pump at the gas station?

Music, like art, is subjective. Different people like different stuff. Much of it is association. The song that was playing the first time you made love is probably one of your favorites. You will probably not appreciate the stuff your grandkids are into. There are exceptions, however.

LL Cool J was in the 1980s. Snoop, Dre, Tupac, Warren G were all 1990s.

You'd have to be older than 50 to remember Queen and Pink Floyd.
