I don't know the details that well, but he had been convicted. He claimed the judge was trying to make a point out of him. He killed himself before resigning so his family could still collect his state pension. That video is something else watching blood gush out of his nose.
My dad told me a story once when he was renting a room while in college. The family's son hung himself from the shower curtain and my dad had to cut him down.

There's a video of a helicopter monitoring a police foot chase with infrared video. The perp has a shot gun and at one point decides he ain't going to jail. It's pretty creepy watching the pieces of white head fly across that backyard, while the copter radios down to the cops that it's over.

I saw this live when I was a kid. It was a real WTF moment for sure. Everyone was wondering why he went into the press conference with a brown paper lunch bag, then out comes the gun.
