I definitely believe this stuff happens and often wonder what level of evidence we would even see that would be deemed acceptable by the masses...when all the media has to do is claim it is faked or debunked?

Assuming for the sake of argument that you are not a troll, the reason that you piss me off so much is that you are actually obfuscating for the criminals whether you realize it or not.
To the extent there is truth in what you say, it is buried in all the bullshite you spew. It's the same thing that happened with Lin Wood.
Think of it this way - one of the primary tactics in dealing with an adverse witness in a courtroom is to discredit that witness. There is a reason for that. Once the witness is discredited, the jury will most likely disregard everything the witness says.
No one has to discredit you. You do that yourself and you seem to enjoy it.
