He's not bashing, he's just saying he thinks it was a dumb decision. If anything, it sounds like OJ supports the message. I think you're giving OJ too much credit here.

I guess there’s a subset of the population that cares...
OJ’s obviously not a role model but it’s a throwback to an era when guys could love the game and this country. Today’s athletes seem so much angrier.
