quote:

This week, he has taken aim at the heart of the problem - American Millennials and Gen Z and their total ignorance of history.

"In India, young people touch old people's feet to show reverence. In Japan, there's a national 'respect for the aged' day.

You know the reason why advertisers in this country love the 18-34 demographic... because it's the most gullible.

A third of people under 35 say they're in favor of abolishing the police...not defunding, but doing away with a police force altogether... which is less of a policy position and more of a leg tattoo.

36% of Millennials think it might be a good idea to try Communism... but much of the world did try it... I know most of Millennials think that doesn't count because they weren't alive when it happened... but it did happen, and there are people around who remember it. Pining for communism is like pining for BetaMax or MySpace.

So when you say 'you're old, you don't get it', get what? Abolish the police? ...and the Border Patrol? ... and Capitalism? ... and cancel Lincoln?

No, "I get it"... the problem isn't that I don't get what you're saying or that I'm old. The problem is that your ideas are stupid.

If you say "let's eat in the bathroom and shite in the kitchen", yeah, that's a new idea, but I wouldn't call it interior design.

You think someone 80 is hopeless because they can’t use an iPhone? Maybe the one who is hopeless is the one who can’t stop using it.

You think I'm out of it because I'm not on Twitch? Well maybe I 'get Twitch' but I just think people watching other people play video games is a waste of fricking time.

20% of Gen Z agree with the statement that "society would be better off if all property was owned by the public and managed by the government" and another 29% say 'they don't know if that's a good idea'...

Here's who does know... anyone who wasn't born yesterday!"

dude what the frick

walk into a DMV or the social security office and tell me you want these nimrods in control of all property

this is what corporatism breeds. We have a fake free market manipulated by the government and our central bank through tax advantages and bailouts that benefit larger corporations and starve out all competition, so some of the younger people just think the ideals of property and capitalism is to blame for the hopeless wealth inequality, not the government interventionism.

The 18-34 generation is the most pampered, pussified, undisciplined, and immature generation that has ever existed in America.

They will be the death of America

Being raised by tiktok, Facebook, Twitter, and our current public education is the worst cocktail possible. Throw in their "raised in the unrest of the 60s" parents and here we are.

Sorry Bill we didn't frick world over through bull shite proxy wars, wreck poor communities with the War on Drugs, suck off corpate news, continually vote for shitty politicians for decades, and fricknup so badly that young people will likely not see any SS money when they become of age

The US peaked with boomers, maybe Gen Xers. And I say this as a millennial.

Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.

It is true that the older generation caused a lot of the problems with our current economic paradigm.

It is also true, anecdotally speaking, that many people in response to this paradigm are attaching themselves to ideas that are tried and tested failures. Government intervention has been the specific causal factor behind a lot of my generation (90s baby) problems in terms of tuition skyrocketing and, at least recently, housing prices inflating. More government oftentimes invokes unintended consequences that can really harm the populace.

Rewind the clip to the beginning.

The first five minutes are talking about how Biden’s first 100 days has been the best in U.S. history.

Maybe so although I'm sure we differ on what will become failures.

However my point is Bill is just spewing the same anti millenial garbage that people like him have been spewing for a long time. Millenials are just now taking offices so all the major problems facing America are almost entirely the works of Boomers and Xers. The culture War stuff is a tad different but not nearly our biggest problem

He's a Bernie voter. He probably think Bill Maher is far right.

The Boomers are not without their faults but they and the Greatest Generation presided over the United States during the 80s and 90s - which were arguably THE peak years for the United States.

I would argue the 50s and 60s were the height of the USA. It's been downhill since Vietnam started. Obama accelerated the downward spiral and Biden is finishing it.
