Should have been expected. As our global status diminishes under Trump's isolationist policies China was the obvious economic partner to slide right on in and benefit.
The EU was never a partner or ally, merely a pup on a tit.

So is China going to take over funding NATO and subsidizing all of the EU's social programs?
They would but the terms in return will be much worse.
Europe will wake up one day and China will have full control over all of their airports just like in Africa

Yep. Admittedly, I am really curious who will eat them first...the muslims or the chinese.
If you haven't left that conglomeration of burgeoning shitholes, it's probably too late.

Well this post completely ignores history...

One of the biggest lies in world affairs:
The suggestion that the U.S. “funds” European social programs by contributing to NATO…

Does America spending such a large portion of our budget on Defense allow Europe not to spend it on Defense?
And not spending it on Defense, what does it allow Europe (and Canada) to do with their money?
I'll hang up and listen

Will be mostly one way. European stuff is expensive in general. The vast majority of Chinese consumers won't buy that stuff.
Europe needs buyers of their shite. They already have access to Chinese markets. Bottom line is if they want free access to the American purchasing market, it needs to be reciprocal.
Nothing really changing here at all.

The shite Russia is doing doesn't even hold a candle to what the CCP is doing. It's not even close.
The fact that Europe is willing to overlook that, is only proof that they care first and foremost about money and everything else is a distant second place. That won't work out well for Europe either, as it didn't for us.

You're the one who doesn't understand history. The EU has nothing to do with the long-term history of Europe. The EU has only been around since the mid-1990's.
Sometimes I almost wish there was some sort of minimum competency test prospective posters here had to take. It would probably eliminate 80% of the crap that's posted.

Oh noz!
Oh well
Europe can have fun with China invading and taking over their markets.

china will leverage everything to make any agreement lopsided and tilted heavily towards their way
europe would be the type to get into bed with china on infrastructure projects with financing terms so in favor of china that they may end up owning half of that continent after

Lets have chicken and the admins tested first.

I mean yeah obviously there's not literally an account that the US government sends NATO funding to and then the EU pulls money out of to fund their social welfare programs. No one thinks this is what's happening. Try to apply more critical thinking than that.

So just ignore all the countries making the alliance and our history with them.

Probably not a good idea for China to partner with Muslim countries

As our global status diminishes
This is true, as the current "status" quo is one of surrendering our sovereignty and Constitutional Republic Freedoms (God-given) to Globalist rule.
People do not realize the spiritual beauty of freedom until they lose it. And those who choose to subordinate their freedom for supposed security will indeed lose their freedom. They say that people get the government they deserve; in many cases that is true. Albeit there are a lot of loving people in Mexico who suffer under the Cartel Oligarchy down there.
I'm not optimistic in regard to the US remaining free, as the ideological polarity of Individual Freedom vs (supposedly) Democratic Global Fascism confronts the Constitutional Republic. Honesty, I think we will have to go Authoritarian just to keep basic infrastructure viable. So in that respect, the CR goes away. Lose - lose any way we cut it.
"Can two walk together lest they agree"? Nope, not on things so basic.
Heavy stuff.

All this because the US has the audacity to want a level playing field. frick the rest of the world.
