And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit. I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.

Don’t be so dramatic. You claiming you need a gun to protect yourself against the government is ludicrous. But you seem like a reasonable person. If an assault weapons ban happens, I’m sure you’ll follow law.

He just proved why Americans need weapons to defend ourselves. Unreal

Swallwell may have just positioned himself to become firearm salesman of the next decade outstripping Barack Obama of his 10 year reign as the man

He's made me think about purchasing an AR 15 and I really don't like the weapon from a practicality standpoint

So he says this..

quote:

And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit

And then follows up with this..

quote:

Don’t be so dramatic. You claiming you need a gun to protect yourself against the government is ludicrous

Incredible.

so a Democratic congressman is now officially threatening government backed war against citizen gun owners and not just war but nucular war (shoutout to W)

he's advocating for the government of the USA to use nuclear weapons on its own citizens simply for exercising their constitutional rights

These people just need to be punched in the nose - just once. They simply don't understand how foolish they come across.

I'll gladly test his theory. I think Cliven Bundy is an idiot, but he showed what a bunch of good ol boys with guns can do when facing off with the feds.

It's also hilarious to think that strategic command would nuke people on it's own soil.

So come on Eric, let's get it on.

What’s not practical about it? Genuinely curious. Very versatile, reliable, and not incredibly expensive. That’s practical in my book.

LOL! That makes a lot of sense. They want to take our guns because they claim they want to save lives but threaten to use nukes which would kill millions.

Good Gawd these people are fricking nuts

Not willing to give up my guns. Will fight and die to keep them. Not a threat. A PROMISE.

1.) I primarily hunt ducks, bad weapon for that
2.) Not terribly practical for deer hunting either
3.) for home protection I prefer a 9mm.

If you like 'em, buy 'em.......I'm not for telling anyone what to do in regards to their firearm purchases.

The level of cognitive dissonance it requires to be a liberal today is both fascinating and scary

We need to kill all Americans via bomb in order to get rid of all the guns so American's won't kill each other. You can't make this shite up

Swalwell is out of his fricking mind. Nobody is going to pop a nuke on American soil against American citizens for exercising a Constitutional right.

If I owned a gun, it wouldn't be to protect myself from the government. No one from the government is threatening me, or my family. I feel more threatened from the people on the fringes of my community who want to steal my possessions, or cause physical harm to me and my family.

Everyone who has gone up against the government in protection of their guns has lost and it hasn't been pretty. All of the fights I can think of were really really bad stains on history and society. Nobody came out as winners. You are not going to win fighting a government of our size.
