The EPA was never intended to ban cars. It was scientists in charge of monitoring and protecting the environment. Wild right! Today it’s 95% lawyers and bureaucrats who peddle mainstream pseudoscience from the likes of Greta Thurnberg and affect policy with directives that do nothing to impact the environment but rather drag the populace back to the Stone Age.

I’m opening up a car dealership just over the border in Nevada when this goes into effect.

Ok. Will all California restrictions ICE engines be rescinded as well? Many states have restrictions on engines that reduce performance for higher gas mileage. Multiple states also follow California limits as well as a compact. If no gas cars are sold in Cali, how can they set standards?

They can't close the state border to all gas engine cars... can they? Certainly, the can't stop a resident from going to say... Arizona, buying a car and driving it back home... can they? Surely they can't do that...
I doubt they would be able to do that due to interstate commerce. But the issue becomes how quickly their gas stations close up shop. If you cant get gas in the state because no one sells it, then it would essentially do the same thing as a ban.
I am actually surprised that someone in California hasn't sued. This is something that actually will disproportionality affect the poors.

Why wait until 2035? If it's such a great idea, why not 2030?

Doesn't matter. Will never make it through the court system. Dumb for them to even try it.

ANd the article i read said trump can resend the waiver......
Yeah, but like, why? Let em burn, it could be the catalyst that makes California wake up.
Agreed. All it does is grant permission, the state would have to create then pass legislation in order for this to happen. If Californians are stupid enough to hang themselves by continuing to vote for morons who will make this a state law there, make sure they have enough rope.
