Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, entrepreneur, and one of the most influential Hawaiians in the US. I just got this email out of the blue from his Rich Dad money e-mailer:
quote:
Do NOT Deposit Another Dollar at Your Bank Before You Read This
quote:
CIA analyst, James Rickards, has made a shocking prediction: A cabal of 189 global elites is preparing to launch a direct financial attack on America…if successful, their plan will vaporize $101 trillion in investor assets… within 48 hours. And according to Jim’s research, they have a 99% chance of succeeding. He urges all Americans to prepare now.
I did.
I moved cash from my bank because of the shocking information that James outlines in his book The Road to Ruin.

It’s scary to learn the secret plans of government. But now is not the time to bury your head in the sand, so take the time to read James’ book—you’ll discover exactly what’s coming.
My message has been—and always will be—that the government will never save you. You must save yourself. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The only way to save yourself is comprehensive financial education. Instead of putting hope in the government, put hope in yourself. Keep reading books. Keep putting your knowledge into practice. You can prosper in this economy while others suffer—but only if you take matters into your own hands and stop waiting for someone to save you.
That’s why I’ve been writing you this week. To give you access to the information that the MSM (mainstream media) isn’t going to share with you. Like James, I feel compelled to help you protect yourself.
Learn how to claim your copy now >>
You won’t find this information scrolling across your local news network, or even one of the national networks. This information is being kept secret and this is your chance to get informed about what is happening around you.
Protect your family, your wealth, and your future.
Get James’ book now.
To making life better,
- Robert Kiyosaki

Dude is like zig Ziglar, made more money telling you how he was successful than actually being successful.

I love the guys books and have read most multiple times. However, his website and emails are super sketchy. He's different to say the least.

Great sales copy. That book is going to fly off the “shelves.”

If cash in the bank isn't going to hold up, cash isn't going to hold up elsewhere.

Irony if everyone followed his advice and moved money form bank the plan by the elites might work
maybe this is the elite plan

If that actually did happen the only precious metals worth having will be steel, lead, copper, and brass.

Well I am glad I sent my money to that African Prince.

A quick Google search for this quote:
And besides this thread, the results for this quote:
Looking at Robert Kiyosaki's verified twitter, he tweets multiple times per day and his tweets are pretty much just positive financial motivational quotes and/or financial advice. The complete opposite of that nonsense in your post.
But just so you're ready to spring in to action, your next hacked or virus email from him will probably require a large sum of money to help a Nigerian prince access his bank funds, which he will give to you. Just hopefully you'll be able to withdraw it before the cabal is able vaporize it.

Rickards isn't "wrong" per say. The problem is trying to figure out when exactly he is going to be right...which may not be in your lifetime.
Also, it's hard to tell if this incremental decline will simply continue into the future taking us from a country where a single high school graduate could buy a home and head a household to one where two income families were required to do the same, to one where two income familes relied on consumer debt to maintain a first world standard of living, to one where two income families could no longer afford to buy new cars and had to lease them, to one where two income families could no longer afford to buy homes, to ones where two income families had to become multigenerational like they are in the third world to afford adequate housing...
Or if there's going to be a "break" in the form of war, de-petrodollarization, or something else that will cause a sharp inflection downward in that graph and a subsequent drop in the USD index.

That’s why I shared. I know what he stands for, and this and another email I received seems out of his usual verbiage. I’m wondering what happened.
The email header says it’s from customersupport@richdad.com, so it’s not a scam/phish.
Odd from a guy that praises Soros in his original Rich Dad Poor Dad book
Or, like another poster said, maybe that’s his plan!

I read several things from both authors. Rickards does have an end of the world thing now and then. It does concern me. However, I've read these things from him and some others like him for 15 years. I'm not sure what to think any more.

IF everything becomes worthless overnight, what is cash under your bed gonna do? Wouldn't it be worthless still?
Seems like in this scenario would lead to world conflict and food and guns would be most valuable.
