Obama and NASA claimed that it would take 15 years and something like $12 trillion dollars to feasibly put humans back into space again in the US.

Elon did it in six years for a few hundred million.

Never doubt Elon. In one fell swoop he has singlehandedly dismantled the biggest see eye A psyop machine in Earth's history.

So fricking cool, we'd finally get a phone that runs on a battery.

Elon needs to go ahead and create phone w/ service to nuke the current state of phone/computer plus internet service. The left has complete control over that sector of tech. Elon could end that overnight and make cell towers and iPhones obsolete. Build the phones in USA with American chips. No more need of massive slave labor factories in China controlling the tech industry in the USA.

Tesla phone running on starlink data would eliminate the need for cell towers, connecting to WiFi and all the other shite we have to pay for. It’s about way more than the battery

The problem is starlink's capacity is nowhere near capable. It can only handle a few million connections at final build.

Starlink wont even be a suitable ISP replacement for rural internet let alone capable of handling phone traffic.

Send a pull over and shut down signal to all Apple employees who drive a Tesla. But they can reactivate in 5 minutes if they “tweet” a code to Twitter using their Apple phone and store installed Twitter. If Apple takes them off store then oops, no Tesla signal either

If you're Elon, you know you're down to do this kinda shite. I'm not sure that Tim Cook wants to get in a "who's pettier" with Elon.

Both yield a shite ton of weight BUT Elon could easily tweet, "Welp, time for everyone to swap to Android!" and people would. Hell I might.

this is why I build my own computers and prefer android phones.

Still at the mercy of Windows and/or Google/android.

Unless you run Unix/Linux and get super nerdy with phones.

He doesn't need his own phone. He just needs the ability to shut out IOS users from accessing the internet via Starlink.

I have two high end PCs in my house. one is running linux and the other one for general use and gaming has windows.

one downside of linux is most games take time to port it over. most new games do end up on linux but the popular shooters usually don't. because activision blizzard is a bunch of bitch arse dudes. maybe if microsoft buys them all the veneer of hating pirates but in reality linux as a whole goes away.

You own it. You can still view and use Twitter through a browser even if it’s removed from the App Store. But Apps are much more effective at engaging your audience and promoting your brand, so it would be a big loser for Twitter if it was taken off the App Store Apple isn’t saying you can’t have Twitter. But they won’t provide the resources to furnish the app for you anymore. Like a store saying they won’t sell something anymore. It can still be sold to you through other ways, but it’s a lot more difficult than getting it from Walmart

Correct. Apple locks down their App Store for a reason. It prevents viruses, malware, and the like. They can certainly use that restriction for other reasons, but that is one of the core reasons for it. Always has been.

My guess is that Apple wants its cut of the blue check money because you can do it through the app. Various other apps have had issues with payments because the Apple Store wanted transactions run through them.

This is quite possibly the real reason. I think I saw they take 25% from all App Store purchases and they require anything that goes through the App Store to only allow purchases through the App Store.
