It was reported earlier this week that lockdowns in China would make iPhones unavailable through the holidays.

You own it. You can still view and use Twitter through a browser even if it’s removed from the App Store. But Apps are much more effective at engaging your audience and promoting your brand, so it would be a big loser for Twitter if it was taken off the App Store
Apple isn’t saying you can’t have Twitter. But they won’t provide the resources to furnish the app for you anymore. Like a store saying they won’t sell something anymore. It can still be sold to you through other ways, but it’s a lot more difficult than getting it from Walmart

This is something that needs to be checked by the courts. Apple should be able to demonstrate impartiality with their App Store or App Store should be a separate business.

Elon needs to make his own phone and app store.

My guess is that Apple wants its cut of the blue check money because you can do it through the app.
Various other apps have had issues with payments because the Apple Store wanted transactions run through them.
