Desantis wasn’t destroyed by boots lmao. Dude never had a shot and likely took a big hit to his political career trying to do it. The irony of course is that desantis’ popularity had largely to do with the fact that he was the most pro trump guy in politics outside of trump himself.

VA - State houses

The Democrats will hold the Virginia Senate.

Ohio Issues 1&2 will both pass.

There was some hope in GOP circles that they would be able to flip the New Jersey Assembly. That does not seem to be in the cards as the Democrats have instead flipped at least 5 GOP Assembly seats tonight.

Tate Reeves will be reelected as Governor of Mississippi.

The Democrats will FLIP the VA House of Delegates.

It's concerning to think about how deep of a hole we are going to be in after 2024

He is still one of the most popular R's in the country.

The R's that don't like him are Trump sycophants that are online 24/7

And Trump will win Kentucky by 30 points in 2024 like did in 2016 and 2020. Cameron’s performance in Kentucky has nothing to do with Trump’s performance. Republicans don’t win the Governor’s office in Kentucky. Beshear isn’t hated and is living off of daddy’s name.

And the fact that 80% of republicans probably won’t vote for him in the upcoming election. Just saying. I’m more curious why desantis became the anti-trump candidate. Why not Haley? Scott? The traditional conservative candidates.

DeSantis being unable to gain traction just shows the substance deficit of the GOP electorate and how it's still broadly reflective of the country at large (dumb, vapid, etc.).

If you're a traditionalist and conservative American, it's time to just acknowledge the majority is at war with you.

I didn't blame Trump. Team Trump is blaming McConnell even though he was a non-entity during the election.

He could have just rallied around trump, knowing he was unlikely to beat him anyways. The “party” could have been more united. Just saying. It was also an option.

Trump loses a General Election to a dementia patient, costs the GOP control of the Senate twice, and celebrates when Democratic Senator Michael Bennet wins re-election.

He's still embraced and allowed to run as long as he wants. His political career, which should've ended the second he lost to Dementia Joe, is still alive.

DeSantis turns a purple state bright red and works to flip multiple House seats that gave the GOP control of the House.

His political career is over.

My goodness, what retarded logic.

Why unite and rally with a faction that will inevitably be your enemy?

Trump essentially told his supporters to not support DeSantis and Reynolds if they run for political office going forward. So much uniting. GTFO.

Why should a guy who handed the Dems control of the Senate and got crushed by a dementia patient be entitled to anything? If GOP voters weren't mentally weak, they'd man up and tell Trump to never show his face in politics again.
