Well Google pulled many links for me.

Off of "Over a million New Yorkers have announced they will be leaving."

https://www.google.com/search?q=Over+a+million+New+Yorkers+have+announced+they+will+be+leaving.&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

. I'm interested in credible links.

Oh, you're concerned about the credibility of the sources but you trust the AI bots?

Ok

There are 35,000 residents in NYC who make over 1 million annually in income. Even the loss of 3,000 of them would be a huge financial crisis for the city and state.

Well, no. If you recall I first asked the op, then I googled and found those articles you just linked that [so far] have only cited the same self-reporting and inflated poll as a source that the bots did.

OP [or you] are still free to provide evidence of the claim.

It's odd that a simple request to verify a hard claim made in the op has been met with such resistance. I try to form my opinion by first determining the facts of the matter. Do you have a better suggestion or are you more of a feelings guy?

No - it's clear now that you only demand pristine and irrefutable evidence as proof of things you don't like.

I asked for any at all. OP accused me of being a vile Muslim supporter or something dumb like that. You provided me with a Google search link to articles I'd already read based on a self-reported poll that was in turn highly-inflated. If you took the word of a random op on a message board and a self-reported poll that didn't even make the same claim the op as verified truth you'd be an idiot.

The ones who stay will have to pick up their slack. Elections have consequences.

One of whom is my little brother who just got hit with a "surprise divorce" and is getting ready to sell their home but op and others seem to think the only reason to have an interest in a million people fleeing NYC is being a "vile Muslim defender."

You're free to start your own thread where you can praise Mamdani. Instead you come here and act like the idea of mass migration from NYC is laughable. You ever here of "white flight"? Many white people moved in masses to the suburbs years ago. And that was without the threat of their property being seized, substantially increased taxes, and their livelihood at risk like Mamdani will bring. Even if 25% of those polled move away it will have a devasting economic impact on NYC. But sure, you know better...

Thanks. You're free to go write in your fricking diary.

So in other words, you couldn’t back up your original claim, so now we’re pivoting to a whole different topic.

“White flight” existing isn’t evidence that a million people just announced they’re leaving. The claim you made was about current data. I asked for a source, and now you’re doing fricking sociology improv to avoid admitting it doesn’t exist.

Instead of building strawmen about what I “must think,” try manning up and admitting you threw in shite you heard to pad your OP and got caught. shite happens. You'll live, I promise.

A dome needs to be placed over New York to keep the liberals from fleeing. The only people we should want leaving to go anywhere are republicans

Of course it’s a bullshite claim. But if Mamdani implements half of his program it could eventually come true.

That's not up to the mayor or city council. That's actually run at the state level with the governor being the deciding factor

Hochul has no backbone. She will likely acquiesce. Did you see her at Momdanu's rally? I honestly think she's worried. She knows, but she's powerless until 51% of the state is outside of NYC.

“Mamdani has said he will excessively tax not only businesses in NYC but any company engaging in business in NYC”

So essentially Americans living outside of NY city will pay for his tax hikes. This works on a city level but definitely not scale up to work on a National level. But nice to know my Delta tucket from Atlanta to Orlando will go up to pay for a NY illegal’s healthcare.

Agreed. I haven’t expressed any optimism over his win, quite the opposite. I see it as another troubling marker in the disintegration of our national identity. I never said anything pro-Mamdani in this thread or anywhere else. The only reason a few people tried to paint me that way is because I asked for proof of about a claim they wanted to be true and they got defensive and emotional when they couldn’t provide it.

That’s the way some people are on this board. Disagree with an obvious untruth, fabricated to flatter Trump or the Right, and you’re a Lefty.

Yeah, that’s par for the course on most political boards. Random ad homs, non-sequiturs, and strawmen just mean they don't have an argument. Sounds like conceding to me, so it’s all good.

This sounds like a gotcha until you realize those locusts will be swarming areas to escape but bringing their votes with them.
