It’s like I’m taking crazy pills. Everyone aside from Trump, Mnuchin, and I are celebrating how strong the USD is. Until we depreciate the USD to make it competitive in exports our GDP growth is going to suffer. How only the three of us understand this baffles my mind.

So what you’re saying is we should sell our stock now that we’ve broken the 28,000 threshold?

I’m sure they’re not just downplaying it before it’s over. They never do that during a trump presidency.

No what I’m saying is that if the fed understood monetary policy even in the slightest bit we would be to the moon right now...

Mighty high opinion you have of yourself. Tell us again how JBE is good for Louisiana despite being the only state to lose jobs.

Just today the DOW set ANOTHER record today. My portfolio looks great while you’re are worrying about “growth?”

Yeah, because some internet troll knows more about monetary policy than the fed.

they're at the low end of what the crowd is saying though- others are as high as almost 2.0%.

that said, anything in that neighborhood seems disappointing since we're on the high side of an economic expansion, with about a $trillion (and growing) of deficit-fueled stimulus flowing, and zero/negative real rates.

If there aren't enough people to fill the jobs currently open who cares if economic growth pauses?

I wonder if everybody else's new hires have been as shitty as ours lately (and I work for a big company tht is one of those officially designated "great places to work").

All that matters is finding something to blame on OMB.

What do you think drives that DOW record? GDP growth

Apparently Powell and his merry gang of losers don’t understand that allowing the USD to appreciate to record levels against virtually all currencies globally hurts our exports and kills our GDP growth.

Will we're headed for recession. Have been for almost half the year. At least according to the MSM.

Actually, company profits and forecasts from the DJIA 30 would be the driving force behind the growth in the DOW. Those earnings can come from anywhere, including foreign business, which if they are in the DJIA 30 then they certainly have international business.

Our GDP growth certainly has some correlation to the market but no they are absolutely not one and the same.
