That is both true and not true at the same time. You certainly don't see the degree of asymptomatic transmission with ebola, and the viral shedding tracks pretty well with peak symptoms - so when you're most likely to infect someone else, you're also most likely to be identified as needing isolation. It's also very very low risk that you'll infect someone once you've recovered (which you will in the US).
It's like some of you forget that we had a number of Ebola patients in the US in the last decade and somehow that didn't morph into community spread.

If this was created in a lab like Covid-19, then you can expect the spread rate to be vastly different than any other Ebola virus that has occurred naturally.
