Did it ever fricking occur to you that maybe some black people just aren't feeling the unity - and that's what the fricking protests are all about?

dude, ....are you on medications today?

Where have you been the last 10 years watching all these protest on TV with towns being burned down? cops assassinated in the streets? I get it, I've had it for decades...

but you support the idea to remind fans "hey we don't like our country, things need to change"...never mind that the fans are there to be entertained, not feel like they are being subjected and playing a role in another CNN story.

Don't give me that bullshite, the armed forces haven't fought for AMERICANS' liberty since 1865. You think those boys dying in the mountains in Afghanistan are fighting for OUR liberty? Maybe that's what they signed up for, but that's not what the civilian 'leadership' is having them do.

Oh boy...

I’m in that group. The whole thing cracks me up. What I get a kick out of is my liberal friends going on about how stupid Trump is and how everything he does will ruin America, then whenever he does stupid things and ruins America they are surprised and outraged by it.

I was pretty pissed off the day he got elected because it shows how far our country has fallen, but I’m not going to act shocked or outraged when Trump does the stupid things I expected him to do in the first place. We only have to put up with him (most likely) three more years, or at most seven.

I just don’t care what NFL people say or do - the NFL is dead to me.

I guess you don't know of anyone in the military ...? NO family? friends who served?

I think it comes down to understanding why we stand together and sing the Anthem in the first place. Is it something you have thought about much?

Try listening to the fans across the country and they will tell you why they find it disrespectful.

the issue ends up being about perception and personal experience, that's why the fans are pissed. They feel hurt players they love and appreciate don't appreciate our country and perhaps a loved one the fan lost in uniform.

the NFL can not afford to piss off it's customers no matter how well intended the protest may have been.

I'm Wild, I'm always off my meds.

There have been no "towns burned down".

I don't watch protests on TV, I watch football.

cops assassinated in the streets?

Streets are dangerous, it's a dangerous job. A lot of normal people are getting "assassinated" too.

I'm there to be entertained as well, not feel like I am being subjected and playing a role in some recruiting pitch.

Oh boy...

I'll go ahead and mark you down as being okay with sending our troops all over the world to overthrow governments we don't like all in the name of preserving our 'liberties'. Don't be so naïve.

When was the last time a US state was invaded by a foreign armed force? Pancho Villa in 1915?

The bottom line is that Football has nothing to do with patriotism, and patriotism has nothing to do with militarism.

Right. It’s purely emotional. It’s the same shite you guys accuse liberals of. Now that the shoes is on the other foot, it’s apparently okay and justifiable to be offended by what amounts to simply kneeling

Its amazing how we pick and choose when we should be outraged by someone disrespecting the flag. Does this board even know the flag rules? Ive see Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders dressed in American Flag patterened outfits. Thats against the flag rules but no outrage. Budweiser sales beer with the flag drapped across the can. Again, this is against the flag rules. Hell we shouldn't even be able to televise the anthem since every single camera man should also be standing at attention as the song is being played.

Doesn’t really matter what your friends think when the league is actively and publicly trying to stop the bleeding of lost viewership, ticket sales, and merchandising revenue.

Face it. They forgot about their fans because they were too afraid of the SJW PR meat grinder that tried to eat Chik-fil-a, Hobby Lobby, and a host of others.

Trump is just bludgeoning his political enemies with the issue. He probably learned this art during his years as a NY democrat.

I've never denied that the NFL fricked this situation up.

Spot on Zach - 'I feel like you guys should have to be better than this...'

ALL of them - FOX, CNN, etc. Get it right, or you can wear the POTUSs punch line - fake news.

Your gaslighting game is not great.

He commented that military folks don’t appreciate the kneeling. You have friends who disagree. Ok... Who gives a shite what his friends or your friends think?

The nfl has a problem.

I agree with you.

I was simply answering his specific question.

I just don't think it is veterans that are leading the charge on this outrage machine.

That's not even what Apex said. He said it was disrespectful. You disagreed, as always. He asked if you knew anyone in the military that might disagree. You don't. Cool.

ETA: and which outrage machine are we referring to, btw? The millionaire players who believe cops are hunting them in the streets and the only way to stop it is by disrespecting the anthem, or the NFL fans who don't want to see this SJW bullshite while trying to enjoy a game?

The outrage machine is the outrage machine. It doesn't care why you are outraged, just as long as you feed it.
