So are we to trust the judgement of the experts who think Queen Lactacia dressing in a thong and reading to 5 year olds is a GOOD thing, but a Christian reading to kids is a BAD thing?

Ya'll don't think Drag Story Hour and its supporters are nefarious and have an agenda?

Kirk Cameron is denied story-hour slot by public libraries for his new faith-based kids book

The libraries should probably let him read his books.

My guess is that they have concerns about violating the First Amendment, since the books have been represented as being religious, but that is easy to address. Just allow similar readings for other religious groups and for atheists.

As a side note, this is completely predictable and genius marketing.

I was a "Metal Kid"....any album that had "the warning sticker" on it was sure to end up in my collection, but hook or by crook.

Uhh… by denying him the opportunity to read his book to an audience?

Your like-kind situation is already happening.. the freaks are reading their garbage to kids.

Funny how you are staunchly against any limitations on freaks in skirts reading to kids….. but we really have to pull back and just reflect on someone that is not a man in a miniskirt reading their books.

Apparently Kirk needs to wear a thong while reading his books to get approval.

There is no thing as separation between government and religion. Library's are public and denying Kirk is violating his First Amendment.

No, idiot, these people have a gdamned agenda.

No shock that you come along with such a stupid take meant to defend these pieces of shite.

They aren't allowing Cameron the same rights as men who expose themselves to children because the people denying the request are grooming, anti-Christian garbage, NOT because of some phantom Constitutional concerns....jeebuz....

I don't like Kirk Cameron or his banana buddy Ray, but if a tranny can read to kids dressed in fetish attire I don't see why Kirk Cameron can't read to children things that are already being taught to kids across the nation in various houses of worship and are also specifically constitutionally protected.

Hope he sues. This has been my stance the whole time. The hypocrisy of these people. Can't teach Biblical marriage or how it's a sin in the eyes of God, but can teach the complete opposite, knowing it goes against the beliefs of many of the kids families.

If he does sue and get money I hope he donates any money to Christian charities. Key is to put an end to the gay mafia. I'm done caring about being "PC" with these diabolical groomer POSs.

If the libraries are government-owned, there is a potential issue under the Establishment Clause.

Again, I think they should let him read.

You are comparing apples to oranges, because the Drag Queen thing does not have any potential Establishment Clause implications.

Again, I think they should let him read.

Atheists cannot definitively prove or disprove their beliefs any more than a religious believer can. Atheism is as faith-based as any other spiritual belief.

No, there isn't.

If Drag Queens are allowed, Christians are as well.

What YOU are arguing violates the Constitution, genius.

And in many cases, Atheists are more zealous than anyone you will meet.

Arguably true. The bald guy would be more analogous to an agnostic. No affirmative belief either way.

Depends upon whether you define "atheism" as "an affirmative belief that there is no god" or as "a lack of belief in a god." I have seen it defined both ways.

Since agnosticism covers "lack of belief," I tend to think of atheism as the former definition.
