Does the possibility of Bush/Ryan/Rove support of RDS bother RDS supporters?

I’m ambivalent on Trump v Desantis. I would vote in the GE for whichever wins the primary.

That would change if Bush/Ryan/Rove fundraised and campaigned for Desantis in primary. I would unequivocally support Trump, and would abstain in general.

Trump didn’t wreck the Republican Party - the Bush Ryan faction of it did. This faction was behind every misstep of every republican president from Nixon all the way thru Trump.

frick all of them. Does it bother you Desantis Baws?

This guy’s statement is making it the Twitter rounds. I don’t care that he said it. I just want to know (1) what is his source / basis of saying so; and (2) is it true?

I’ve never heard of the guy, but I went to his Twitter, and he is very pro trump. So I take it with a grain of salt. The only thing making me believe him is that Desantis has never denied it. Any evidence pro/con this guy’s statement would be appreciated.

FWIW “you’re in a cult” and “Trump can never win” are not proof. I think Trump is fine with Desantis, he’s just waging a war against the GOPe for whom he believes has made Desantis a cutout. I generally support Desantis.

Also - Trump has won at least one general election so you telling me it’s not possible, is just provably false.

The only thing that bothers them is economic success and the color orange.

I already said I would question RDS's decision making heavily if he was relying on Rove

But that is based in Rove not being good at campaigning anymore and the decreased chance of RDS winning

I don't care about the other histrionics and NPC talking points you listed

The Swamp continues to work in unison to block anything Trump. The minute you see this group aligning with anyone is the minute you need to look to support someone else.

Back in 2015, the GOP held the Senate with about 55 seats and the House with about 250 seats (I forget the exact total).

If only the GOP could be similarly wrecked today.

I’d need definitive proof. I’ve seen none yet. I think its false attributions by Trump’s team.

I look at what he’s done in Florida and that’s good enough for me.

I’m ready for ruthless efficiency. Just stack wins and go about your business. Thats what Desantis does. No politician will ever be perfect, and you’ll never like all the people who give them money.

I don’t think trump can win the GE, and quite frankly I’m tired of his sideshows/chaotic governing style.

Does it bother you to side with people like Gavin Newsom and David Hogg?

Trump is nothing but sideshows and chaos. That's who he is and always has been and this zebra ain't changing its stripes.

Will he take their vote...yes.

Will he take their advice...no.

Pretty fricking simple.

Bottom line, you will need a unified GOP and a lot of independents to win in 2024.

I would guess 99% of current staunch Trump supporters would vote for either Trump or Desantis, I doubt if 70% of Desantis pimps would vote Trump.

Not any more than when some white supremacist endorses Trump. The media tries to use thst evidence that Trump is a white supremacist. That’s silly.

Guilt by association is intellectually lazy.

The Trump critics on the Right I see posts from actually appreciate his economy the first 3 years of his term, but where they part ways with you is they hold him accountable for piloting into the mountainside in 2020.

There's no way many Trump voters here will be posting again if Ron wins.

They've gone too far. How can they vote for someone that Bush/Ryan/Rover "support?"
