Many. They have the attitude that the system is too big for them to have any affect in changing it. Or, they simply aren’t interested in politics and prefer spending their time in less maddening endeavors.
I can sort of see their point.

The majority of people still believe things will just magically continue to roll along as it always has. Head in the sand types. The truth terrifies most people so they just cling to confirmation bias.

A lot are frustrated and believe that bad decisions are being made but feel that the situation is hopeless and no action on their part will make a difference.

My one liberal friend has put her head in the sand since Biden won. She refuses to talk politics at all anymore.

They had a huge effect on Trump’s Presidency, screeching on social media 24/7 365 and advocating for censorship, proxy war with Russia, biological warfare against the entire world, etc…

Most of my friends are like this. They are comfortable enough to where this stuff does not have a huge effect on their day to day lives and are happy to just live in their upper middle class bubbles. I used to be the same until Trump kind of opened my eyes and the COVID madness totally changed my perspective.
I envy them honestly but I have three young kids whose future I am concerned about.

Yes. Those in power do a good job of keeping most people so distracted and busy they almost operate in plain view. The average American is way more concerned with when their latest order from Amazon will be delivered than they are the corruption in DC.

Many of my friends don't care about politics. Honestly most of us here are probably too obsessed at least part of the time.
