No a third party that says we’re gonna form a militia could take over…and hopefully that does happen one day

The two-party paradigm won't allow it.

The country is ripe for a 3rd party or an "independent" mass of voters. The problem is that most people are simply too scared to take that step.

What does this look like?
Well, it is chiefly a rebellion against incumbents.

There are still people that consider hot button items like abortion to be primary in their politics. But they are dwindling in number.

As an example, in the past it would be unfathomable to me that anyone on the left would immediately come out against the New Mexico governor, regarding her abolition of the 2nd Amendment via executive action. However, I've seen people on the left come out and say "you can't do that". This was all brought on by covid, as they saw the overreach and how their fellow Democrats didn't actually care about civil rights. This was a shock to the system for these people.

Same has happened to people on the right regarding the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments, after seeing the government weaponized due to the Patriot Act and against speech through its relationship with Big Tech.

The current weaponization of government is transparent to all but the very few that refuse to open their eyes.

We'd better get onboard with this idea for the 2024 election and pick candidates accordingly. If we don't, and if we get it wrong in 2024, the nation is over and it's going to get extremely ugly for all of us.

Democrats are saying their intentions out loud - abolish the 2nd Amendment, jail opponents, censor speech etc, while globalists want the 15 minute cities, EV's for everyone, 'own nothing and like it', take zee vaccine and eat zee bugs, all while Republicans like McCarthy roll over. Imagine giving these people a green light to continue. It won't be talk after 2024, it'll be implementation.

Many of you have kids, and yet you would rather cling to party voting knowing it's all the same party, knowing it will doom your children and grandchildren to a life of servitude, rather than take this step and vow to rid ourselves of the uni-party.

You need to reach down and grab a pair. If not you then who, and if not now, when? There comes a time when it's too late - and that time will be right after the election in 2024. If we let this slip too far, we all know what the only remaining path to freedom looks like, and it's bloody and violent. We absolutely must avoid this. They cannot cheat in sufficient numbers if the entire electorate rebels against them at the ballot box.

If things go too far, people will ask questions, like, "How did you vote?" You're going to say: "Well, I didn't want to vote against the uni-party because I thought I was wasting my vote." You might think it sounds reasonable right now. But later, it won't be viewed that way. You may as well say, "I was a giant fricking pussy and I'm one of the many people responsible for this shithole existence we are in now, because I didn't have the guts to do something as easy as shunning the uni-party at the ballot box.", because that's how everyone is going to look at you. All the things you say about California voters are the same things people will say about you, and it'll be true, unless you change. If you don't change, the system damn sure won't change. Why would it? You reward it with your vote.

It's extremely difficult to get a third party started due to how we vote. Since our voting requires in most cases only a plurality for victory, many people fear wasting their vote and causing someone worse to be elected.

If more states start adopting the ranked choice voting like Alaska we could see it (at least outside the presidency). In a ranked choice system a voter can put their vote to their desired candidate, but if eliminated fall back to a less desired but preferred candidate. Basically it allows people to vote freely without wasting their vote and it shows people general level of support for third parties.

The only way a third party president becomes viable is to drop the electoral college and go to a ranked choice or runoff system.

Currently if a true third party gets involved in the presidential election, the 270 electoral tally will never be reached, resulting in partisan state legislatures being the folks who decide the president.

This is a game of tug of war where the left is winning. All a centric party would do is give the left more momentum.


Let’s examine how this goes at present. Left goes farther left and right goes more center to get things accomplished, and the center line moves further left. Wash and repeat because the right is always the one who’s expected to move to center, NEVER THE LEFT, and so the line for what is the center position is forever moving further left, which is why what once was left is now center.

All a centric party would do is move it faster to the left. What we need is staunch and immovable principled opposition that changes the narratives, and holds the left’s feet to the fire.

I know what far left is, but what is far right? I thought I knew what it means. But if there are a bunch (as in say close to a third) of people in it, then I guess I don’t.
