I think a lot of the country is desperate for strong leadership and that's part of the Trump appeal. But I think the core of the Trump movement is something else, they want to pledge allegiance to a single person who will make all the decisions on their behalf, and many go beyond that, to glorification. It's not unique to Trump in history obviously, and I guess some people are just wired for that.

Alex is a creepy scumbag paid by Trump/Trump affiliates and recently made a very homoerotic post about Trump that should gross out any decent American.
Jenna Ellis is a sociopath, IMO.
Neither have anything to do with DeSantis and both came to the forefront by grifting on Trump's brand. It's not a coincidence that many/most of the characters in Trump's orbit end up in weird disputes and drama like this.
