If it's like the military they will get back pay. Congress is basically on strike and personally I don't think they should get any pay as long as they're on strike. fricks em.

Yes they get paid like normal. They should get docked for each day of the shutdown, but that makes too much sense.

They get paid in full, but lose a lot of their support funds, meaning they have to rotate or furlough staff...Capitol Building is mostly shutdown including all the facilities for the staff...except Cogressman's gym and Cafe stay open

Yes. Here's a quick one. When people talk about "the government" in everyday parlance, it's really almost entirely about the executive branch of the government. Congress and the Courts have their own deals.
