If Vance is the future of MAGA then MAGA is in trouble. He underperformed Trump and other statewide GOP candidates in his senate election. He had Peter Thiel throwing down massive amounts of cash to make that happen to boot.

Wow. A lot going on watching that press conference. First, we all knew Trump was authentic. Says what’s on his mind regardless. I enjoyed watching that play out vs the usual shake hands smile when cameras are on. Secondly, Trump JD dynamic is very interesting. JD knows who’s the boss but Trump trusting JDs decisions when to speak. Not sure I’ve ever seen that play out with a VP. Finally, Z is championing what he feels is right for his country. Can’t fault him for pushing that. However, he needs to show some gratitude and respect for the aid provided, work with the country that has supported their efforts.

People are only used to seeing 30 sec news clips of the President and foreign leader answering media questions. It's rare to get an actual glimpse of the meeting and negotiations. So in their minds no one should speak but the two leaders. We saw behind the curtain today.

My understanding is that Ukraine already agreed to the minerals deal and was working with Rubio on the next steps of the peace process.
The entire purpose of these meetings between heads of state is to sign the papers and smile for the cameras. Not negotiate, not grand stand.
Zelenskyyyyy went rogue, either because of ego or fear, and said frick UKRAINE, frick UNITED STATES, he wants war to continue.
Can't say I wouldn't do the same if I were in his shoes. Once the war is over he is either sent to prison or killed by his own people.
