Not me. The way I see it, the Bushes have been the first family of the Deep State for about 100 years now, beginning with Grandaddy Prescot. Dick Cheney was their latest right-hand vassal in charge of dirty work.

Whether or not he was lied to by his cabinet, he still barreled ahead and did the most foolish thing possible: mobilize a huge military force and invade Iraq which had been contained as a result of Desert Storm, Desert Fox and UN sanctions. It was up to W. to avoid war, but foolishly he thought a deadly engagement with a country not involved in 9-11 was the right thing to do.

But "eating their shite " is a bit much.
He unfortunately put the wrong people in the role of advising him and then relied on advice (Which all presidents do, even GOD Trump) from people with a twisted agenda.
A bigger question is Why does Colin Powell not get more of the blame for selling the WMD angle to the UN (And ultimately the American people)? HE was the one that testified before the UN that the information was credible and we needed to act on it.
Then the asshat comes out after the shite show starts and say he had serious doubts about the credibility of the informant. Well why fight so hard to convince everyone otherwise. ?

I don't think Bush lied, but among other reasons for the war, he wanted to vindicate Bush 41 who was criticized for not taking Saddam out in 1991. He also wanted a legacy as a successful wartime president and not another LBJ. At the time I supported the war because I felt Saddam was a threat and an enabler of terrorists. Now I believe that leaving him in power would have been preferable to the consequences of his removal over the last 18 years.

No. The weapons were there. Then we waited for them to be shippd by train to Syria before we launched any attacks.
