Yes. In 1999, right during Y2K, I had a case of flu that got so bad I literally prayed for death. COVID didn’t make me a 100th as sick as the flu did that time. I was out of work for two weeks. Since then, I have gotten a flu shot every year and have not had the flu since. I take it knowing full well it doesn’t offer 100% protection. It’s simple math. If it offers 10% protection, 10% is greater than zero. But here’s the deal: I do me. I don’t insist that anyone else, ever, do me.

Vaccines are for idiots. They are poison that is meant to harm you.

Anyone who gets these shots are simple-minded sheep.

Nah. Had the flu once as a kid and haven’t had it again.

They don’t have the same efficacy from one season to the next so it’s still a crap shoot.

Almost everything is the same except this was like 1998 and I don’t get the shot. Was out dead for two weeks with A.

I'm 36. I've gotten the flu thrice. Two of the times I got the flu were years that I got the flu shot. In 36 years.

So no.

Up until this year both of the times I got the flu were the only two years I ever got the flu shot.

The last time I had a flu shot was when I was a toddler at around 4 to 5 years old. None since then. I always opt out of them when asked to get one and I've not had the flu since around the time of my last flu shot as a kid.

I’m in blood diagnostics. So I would never take flu or Covid vaccine. My perspective comes from seeing vaccinated blood under magnification. Downvote away suckers. ??

You spelled, “I don’t know anything about immunity” wrong.

I’ve seldom seen a thread with a higher concentration of ignorance and selfishness.

Thousands of people die each year, and the economic impact via direct healthcare costs and indirect effects on the economy exceeds $11B per year. Influenza is a fast-evolving virus. A 30%-40% rate of effectiveness DRAMATICALLY reduces transmission in a population. The vaccine is made of dead pieces of virus, so while you might have a mild inflammatory response as your immune system acknowledges it, it’s literally impossible to catch the flu from the vaccine.

And here we have dozens of TPsOS outright bragging about being terrible, stupid people.

If what you say is true and the vaccine protects the recipients of the vaccine? What do you care what other people do, has no effect on you if you're vaccinated. Right?
quote:

terrible, stupid people.
If you're right, isn't a good thing that those terrible stupid people die? Shouldn't you be happy?
Fact is you are just trying to signal how much virtue you think you have. You don't have the right to tell other people what to do and need to accept that.
