yup. 1st thing i thought also. dispose of weapon? chunk it in the river.
It is better to just leave it there than being caught on camera with it or in the act of disposing it there. The trail ends where the gun lands. If you take it with you, and they find it, you gave them a direction of travel and timeline.
Especially if leaving used, non-decoy, brass.

Some clown on the OT said if he was that person, he would have circled back and put the guy in a headlock.

Huge suspect pool given the way his company conducts business. If you want the absolute worst health insurance, choose United!

How does a gun become untraceable? I have zero knowledge on this type of thing.

Kayce Dutton could find him in no time. Other than that no one is finding him.

I should have been more clear- untraceable to YOU.
- steal it from someone you have zero connection to, without being caught
- manufacture it, including 3d composites
- pick it up in a war zone and smuggle it into the US
- multiple cut-outs in the purchase/ownership chain where one of them is dead (can't be interviewed and threatened to rat).
It's hard to make a gun completely untraceable that was manufactured by a typical manufacturer. Scratching the serial number off does not work. Quantico has technology that can detect the micro fractures from the stamping and it produces what is similar to a photo negative image of the numbers and if you use nitric acid to try and eradicate even that there won't be enough metal left to be a functional weapon because those micro-fractures radiate out and into the metal being stamped.
If you buy it from someone, even if stranger, if is traced back to them they will be threated with double-digit sentences until they spill everything they know including when and where you bought the gun.

I have a personal story of this happening to me, standing next to someone who pulled out a gun and Killed someone, and it was scary asf. Long story short, had a liberty weekend and a group of us went to Sacramento from Camp Pendleton to stay at my roommates parents house. A Kid hit a girl at a party somewhere in that town and a mob chased after him. They were in my friends parents yard as we pulled up. Had no clue who anyone was but when I saw the guy pull out the gun we hauled arse into the house. The victim when being chased actually ran into my friends house and got a knife and came back out. True story, we almost got in big trouble too because we were out of bounds and ended up having to go TAD to testify.

Looks like the shooter has a similar build to his younger son. He would know his whereabouts. I could see him not being able to face him and shooting him in the back. Not saying he did, but killers do usually know the victim.

That is crazy shite. Thank you.
