I could get behind campaign finance reform, but I am willing to bet the dims want to “reform” it in a way that is favorable to their side.

That’s all I can think of.

I am adamantly opposed to the death penalty. Although I don't really see that as a position championed by the dems alone.

Is that even “theirs” to boast of? I mean they’ve been in power and had the opportunity to do it and haven’t.

I have no issue with gay marriage. Not sure why Republicans make it an issue at all.

I took a moderate position, in that I was in favor of allowing grown folks to arrange their affairs in any way that made sense to them that was also reasonable. Civil unions could have done that, easily, without all the additional drama of forcing everyone to redefine not only a word, but a concept as significant as "marriage". Now, I'm the first to admit that many heterosexuals make a mockery out of marriage, too, BUT, at least superficially they are able to meet the extraordinarily longstanding ideal of marriage in the Western tradition.

After all, marriage and the families it produces are the bedrock upon which Western Civilization is constructed. As an institution, it deserved defending.

Odd

So you are ok with someone murdering your family in cold blood. Torturing them and doing things too horrible to write out on here.... and then if caught that individual gets to live out their life being coddled and cared for?

I don’t know if this is a democrat position, but maintaining our conservation model for fish and game with keeping public land access paramount is important to me
