The world under lockdown. Economies halted. Intrusion of government power everywhere. Coronavirus has opened up a Pandora’s box and I’m scared the massive overreach and no one stopping it will lead us and other nation states to an Orwellian future.

Do people grasp how ironic it is that liberals are calling for "literally Hitler" to take over every aspect of our lives?

In the city that I live in once it got into the 50's people said frick it since there hasn't been a single COVID19 confirmed case in our city and now people are out and all about at all times, eating at picknick tables in groups, walking and jogging in parks, people working, and I have seen some companies that are not essential open back up.

By the end of the month most of the country is going to say "frick you government, I'm opening my business back up before I can't ever open it back up"

If someone gets Covid19 and dies, then hire someoneelse to replace the person. Life moves on. 99% of the country will never have issues with this virus.

No. They don’t.

At this point I’m left hoping all that crap in the Q thread is true and trump is going to announce a massive swamp draining next weekend. Otherwise, based upon how many people I know that I’ve known for a long time so willingly advocate for totalitarian control of their lives by “we’re here to help trust us” government, were fricked.

What disturbed me the most is the domino effect of overreaction.

It's like once a few countries or organizations began doing it, most of the others fell in line almost immediately knee jerk.

There was absolutely no real decision making being made. It was just blind reaction without thought of the consequences.

Man trump is the swamp and people are blindly adherent to ever tweet he sends which makes a massive government overreach that much easier. The left is clamoring for it like they always do and the right is blinded by partisan loyalty. No one is left to fight this shite

I do. But I am holding out hope that most of the American public will wake up by May 1 and realize what an absurd overreaction this has been. Or at the very least, Trump takes back control from Fauci and Birk.

And we had no say in it. No vote. Nothing. We were simply told to shut everything down and don’t question it, the biggest decision this country has made since entering WW2 and there wasn’t a single vote cast.

Most people don't care as long as they get what they want, wait till they don't get what they NEED. It isn't until the end that the sheeple figure it out, which is why they are sheeple.

My guess everything will appear fine until the Fedex, Amazon, UPS etc deliveries stop, or Cheerios are no longer on the shelves.

What is your contribution, your distinction from being a "sheeple", bitching on a message board?

Actually, not even bitching, stating the obvious really. My guess is this is going to turn out rather poorly.

But it's for your own good and for the greater good. Comply or your family and neighbors will die. See how easy that is?
