You mean the time, that they formed a bipartisan consensus with Republicans on immigration, but the President refused the plan just on the heels of saying "I’ll sign whatever bill they send me"
This is all because Trump is on a quixotic quest to get the wall
If the government shuts down, with repubs in control of the WH, and both chambers of congress, and a bipartisan deal on the very topic precluding a CR and the president refused, there's no way this will get laid on the Dems (well outside of safespaces like the Poli board)

It's one thing to support immigrants in addition to citizens but they are willing to support immigrants at the expense of citizens. If they had media that would call them out, this would kill their election chances.

So you think they’ll lose dem voters by obstructing republicans? Unlikely, very unlikely. In fact, I’d argue recent history shows just the opposite.
My point is, there’s nothing really at stake for Dems. Much like how republicans obstructed Obama’s agenda every chance they got, and they gained votes for it, when Dems were sure republicans would flee their party out of frustration with their leadership.
Didn’t happen then, not happening this time.
