"Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US was the title of the President's Daily Brief prepared by the Central Intelligence Agency and given to U.S. President George W. Bush on Monday, August 6, 2001. The brief warned, 36 days before the September 11 attacks, of terrorism threats from Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda, including "patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for a hijacking" of U.S. aircraft."

The view that Trump was somehow worse than Bush/Cheney is one held by the vast majority of corporate media employees and by prominent liberals, which is why they are allies with and employ the leading lights of Bush/Cheney war criminality while demanding Trump aides be shunned.

The torture regime instituted by Bush, Dick Cheney and their popular-in-media friends -- which subjected thousands of *innocent* people to techniques prosecuted by the US as war crimes when used by others -- was vastly worse than anything Trump did

The insurrection was not a terrorist attack. It was a rowdy protest. That’s it. They are trying to make it something that it isn’t. GWB is a POS and is responsible for the endless wars that killed countless civilians in Iraq. He wasted billions of tax payers dollars.
Bush’s presidency was a complete failure and this bastard has the nerves to call Americans terrorist? His POS presidency will go down in dustbin in history as one of the worst. Liberals are trying to revitalize his image and that should tell you everything you need to know about GWB.

To be fair, GWB was captured by the CIA and FBI to let 911 happen.

I believed Colin Powell at the time. Were WMDs ever found in Iraq?

Downvote away!
i agree in the fact that bush is no more responsible for 9/11 than Trump is for covid. Clinton is more to blame for 9/11.
But Trump is 100% right in the fact that Bush killed millions, most were innocent, in the wake of 9/11. He got us into being the worlds police more than ever before. His personal decisions have led us to 2 decades of war.
He also stole the innocence and freedom that was america. he built the Military industrial complex to what it is and allowed the CIA, NSA, FBI, DEA, & ATF to become the real terrorist. He empowered and funded all of the bullshite we complain about. All the bullshite Oboma used to push his agenda, all the bullshite biden is using....that is all because of Bush.
Before bush the presidency was much more of a passive office....not so much anymore.

The Kurds certainly didn't gas themselves. (That predated the post-9/11 invasion, however).

The Bush family and their neocon cronies should be swinging from the gallows for killing thousands of American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Afghan civilians.

so what if they where? Did Iraq have the ability to get them here? frick no.
the Iraq war was a mistake no matter how you look at it. It through the whole region into chaos and destroyed the counter balance to iran.

Right, that was biological WMDs well before 911. What Powell was talking about was yellow cake (nuclear grade uranium oxide). That never surfaced.

The problem Trump has with Bush's comments are not with fault for 9/11. His problem with Bush is that you keep your mouth shut with that kind of criticism when you knowingly have a very, very dark cloud that follows you dating back to the extremely questionable decision to send our men and women to Iraq, quite a few of which died as a result, based on what should have been known to be very, very shaky basis in terms of WMD. When it seemed extremely questionable to most everyone that there was zero connection between Iraq, Saddam and 9/11.
Trump's criticism of Bush is beyond justified, and it's absolutely dumbfounding that Bush chose to make those comments considering the statements above. It's not like he either had to make those comments or nothing. There were endless alternative things to say.
