Kelly can be a real a-hole. But weak is not an adjective I would use to describe him....nor is dumb or small brained.

Most people with more than one star can, and a lot of them are very political animals. Very, very few of them are anywhere approaching even average intelligence, because you don't make it that far with average intelligence. The competition is too difficult.
If Kelly ran around behind Trump's back and was a dishonorable Chief of Staff, then he should just say that. Say he was dishonest, whatever. The small "brain" and "weak" comments just make Trump look like a child.

My take is that if you're a Jew and sent to 1946 to clean out the Nazis, you've got to find the least "Nazi" Nazis to replace the worst ones. Most hierarchies work like this: the higher up you are, the fewer of you there are to choose from. He had a limited pool to work with.

I will say that as Chief of Staff he DID owe loyalty to Trump, and I think that was part of their problems. Fine, fire him, quick making dumbfrick hires. But you're not getting loyalty after that, and you should at least be accurate if you want to point out his flaws. I seriously doubt weak and dumb are among them.
