I still don't think any president is ever fully responsible for the ups and downs of any stock market.

He has some influence but he is not driving it one way or the other.

Agreed. POTUS is just one of dozens of variables in long-ter market performance, and not-remotely the most important of them..

It is ridiculous watching ANY President claim credit for a good stock market OR getting the blame for a bad one.

On the other hand, a POTUS indeed CAN influence short-term performance for a news cycle or three.

I got between 2600-2650 for a bottom on the SP500. Then wait to see what happens with the virus in April and May. Will it die down a bit like most respiratory infections. If so, then I think that will be the bottom.

This is definitely not on DJT.

He should stop acting so insecure about it and focus on what he can do to help.

Check out his tweets this morning. Ridiculous and embarassing

Quelling fears and driving confidence is the biggest factor a president can have.

It would help if the media actually cares about the nations well being and reported facts rather than fear mongering.

I disagree to a certain extent. A president can have a positive or negative influence on the market but is, for the most part, far removed. President's policies also have an effect.

Anyone with any sense can see this is so overblown it's insane. And even the Dems don't want the stock market and/or the economy completely destroyed over this crap.
