Back when I was in engineering school at OU (1978 - 1982) I had a lot of Saudi and Iranian students in my classes. They all drove very nice sports cars (black Pontiac Trans-Ams were the hot car back then).
They all came from money.

That's not what's happening. Were it limited to protests, there wouldn't be an issue.
These protests have devolved into breaking the law by breaking into buildings, remaining on premises, barring students and faculty from entering OR leaving school buildings and going so far as to attack Jewish students.
Coming here on a student visa or green card isn't a right, it's a privilege. The students which have been picked up have been directly involved in fomenting and/or participating in those law-breaking protests. Because of that involvement, their privilege has been rescinded so they are being expelled from the country.
The pendulum was allowed to swing too far in allowing those protests to get out of hand, this is a natural reaction of the pendulum having to swing back the other way to eventually bring balance back.

Allegedly. Why are we not skeptical of the government in these cases. It appears we sent non criminals to a hellscape in El Salvador and just called them gangbangers.
If all this person did was express opinions and protest, putting here in jail for weeks/months before a deportation is an awful and chilling thing to do to anyone.
