Disturbing survery finds trash, human waste, needles littering streets of SF

'San Francisco has a reputation as one of the prettiest cities in the world, but a survey of more than 150 downtown blocks has revealed streets covered with garbage, human excrement and hypodermic needles across the liberal city.
In all, the survey by NBC Bay Area took in 153 blocks -- an area that includes City Hall and several schools.
"The investigation revealed trash littered across every block," the station reported. "The survey also found 41 blocks dotted with needles and 96 blocks sullied with piles of feces."'
'The survey results led a University of California, Berkeley infectious disease expert to compare downtown San Francisco to slums in developing countries.'
So even the experts from Berkeley are finding it alarming. Sounds like a beautiful city is rapidly being destroyed by the regressives who run it.

I heard this report yesterday and was sickened. Over 300 piles of human waste is India shanty town type stuff.

The homeless problem here is the worst I've seen it in almost 20 years. The spike is directly attributable to the use and abuse of opioids. And yes, good mormons have been caught up in the mess. The son of a co-worker got caught up after they gave him pain killers for a high school sports injury.
Even in our quiet little suburb of SLC I've seen used needles in the parking lot of our local grocery store. Maybe it's our proximity to California or maybe it's that we have a couple of major interstates that traverse our state, I don't know. But it's a scourge and we need to start helping people. Even our very conservative legislature has allocated extra funds for specifically removing the dealers and helping those that need treatment.
I get people here wanting to run down San Fran. I've been there and it's not my favorite city in the world. But it's a bigger issue that's showing up there because of it's large size and moderate climate. It's a harbinger of things to come for the heartland.

Stayed downtown SF recently. Cops were ticketing two bicycle riders who were wearing suits and headed to work because they ran the red light. As they were issuing tickets, a homeless guy (ten feet away) with his pants around his ankles was drunk and dog cussing every person that walked by and aggressively approaching them for money. Police handed business men their tickets, got in their patrol car and drove off. Homeless man continued his drunken rant.
Also watched countless homeless people being turned away at the CVS next door to hotel and they threatened employees as cops just watched and walked by. Employees were so frustrated that they had to police instead of working. Next door the McDonalds constantly put food out for sleeping homeless.
From what I saw the homeless can do whatever the hell they want and are rewarded with Big Macs. It was disgusting

When you vote shite into office (Mayor/City Council) you get big piles of said shite everywhere. Wake up and smell the turds people!
