The irony is that I saw more stuff for Hilary on Facebook during the election times than for trump.

Tough shite for you: your cult lost the election. President Trump is your President.

Tougher shite: he will be reelected.

Yep, some guys from Russia own stock in google, facebook, and twitter, those companies along with the help of the FBI and CIA attempted to subvert the populous all the while planting informants to give cause to spy on the Trump campaign. I know it sounds like they may have been against Trump, but trust me, they weren't.

So you see a moral equivalence.

I guess if someone were to drop an atomic bomb on us it would be okay since we dropped two on other people. I agree that we meddle too much, I disagree that we should just take it when it's done to us.

So you think they wanted to help a man that loved America vs some woman that sold uranium to them.

Where is your link on that?

Here's the thing that the Russian interference crowd NEVER wants to even consider: if the Russians really did 'hack' the election, they were so damned smart that they were able to figure out how to get Trump a landslide electoral college win while still allowing Hillary to win the popular vote.

Just go back and lock at how any dictator wins his 'free' election. They always win with 90+ percent of the vote. That didn't happen here.

Let me tell ya. Those damned Russkies are some clever MoFo's.

Do you ever post anything intelligent? YouTube wants the protections of a platform but wants to operate as a publisher. You cant have it both ways.

Please share the definitive evidence. I so want to believe, but all I get is, "The Russians interfered." Please help me become a believer! Thanks in advance!

I highly doubt they hacked it, but it’s pretty clear that their influence is substantial.

A lot of those fake news sites are based in Russia and in their ally countries. Just run a few Whois lookups on some of your maw maw’s Facebook posts. I have an aunt who blocked me when I pointed out that the site she kept linking was owned by a 16-year-old Russian.

I bet that 16-year-old Russian can convince her to do something as stupid as voting for Trump.

Of course they did. They've been doing it for decades, but anyone who believes that Russian interference is the reason that old hag lost the election is fooling themselves.

She was a terrible, lazy, unappealing candidate who represented everything the country outside of major metropolitan centers has grown to resent about the federal government. That's why she lost, plain and simple.

Amazing how progs whine about supposed Russian meddling, but don't say a damn word about the extremely heavy meddling done by liberal media.

No, that’s not all you get; you’re being dishonest.

They clearly are attempting to influence elections, and you get that plenty (and you’re getting it now). How successful they have been is unclear, but what is clear is that it is possible for a foreign country to take to the internet and successfully influence the overall message(s) consumed by American voters and, therefore, their voting habits.

Example:
Can foreign-owned media successfully convince American voters that a Central American caravan is far bigger than it actually is? YES

Can the size of a Central American caravan influence a person’s opinion on immigration? YES

Can a person’s opinion on immigration convince him to vote a certain way and/or at all, YES

There are tons of examples of this, and it can influence an election’s outcome. Again, I don’t know if that has happened, but the weather conditions are conducive to that tornado, so to speak. We have military deployed to the internet as we speak, sussing out the general e-climate with, among other things, the hope of determining what, if anything, we are supposed to do.

The possibility of foreign media using the internet to influence our elections should have been dealt with 20ish years ago, but...old people.

It most certainly did, and it happens to every person on this site. Every person on here has had his opinions somewhat influenced by foreign media with an agenda.

According to current federal law, they can have it exactly the way they are currently using it.

I bet that at least 99% of the time a person says this, an appropriate response is “Actually they can have it both ways, and they’re having it both ways as we speak.”

Foreigners have been doing this since way before the internet.

Soviet leaders had their op eds in US newspapers.

Did you know that SCOTUS has applied the first amendment to non citizens?

You can't enforce a nationality for posting on the internet or any other media.
