You're the one talking about marxist democrats. I never said anything about marxist democrats at all.

Especially when the people Mitch is dealing with is democrat leadership and marxists are not in the leadership team and it's all corporatist neoliberals there.

You're the one that brought up marxist democrats here, not me.

And yet you have still not provided a single instance of successful negotiations by McConnell, against democrats. Marxist democrats or not. But you still want to quadruple down on your statement that McConnell knows how to win in negotiations against democrats.

What's it like being big mad getting pissed when I point out that you're the one that's talking about the wrong people here?

Calling your bullshite doesn't constitute big mad, Skippy. I'm enjoying the hell out of watching you squirm and play word games.

Why would you think that?

Mitch knows how to win elections. He is 6-0.

Trump is good at promoting himself. In elections he is 1-1. Not bad, but not great.

Mitch isn't even up for election for another 5 years. You think he gives a flip about Trump?

Not. Won one, had one stolen. We all know it.

We don't know that, but even from that perspective Trump had an election stolen from him and Mitch didn't. That is only slightly better.

We need to win in 2022. I think Trump wants republicans to lose in 2022.

Yeah, not really sure how he expects republicans to regain any kind of power with polarizing, unpopular MTG-type candidates.

No one wants this except the angry red hats.

DeSantis is an anomaly. I hope he runs, because he’s the only one cut from that cloth I know of that can stand hard on the same positions while striking a sane tone.

DeSantis or bust in 2024 for the R’s. Personally I like T. Scott, but he’s too decent to make a splash with the obsessed Captain Ahab-like “RINO” hunters with their MAGA harpoons.

I’d gladly take DeSantis, though. In a heartbeat.

Remove his position of leadership and watch how fast Democrats really screw you. Find me a better person who knows the rules of the Senate and can run rings around the Democrats on procedure.

You guys are unbelievable. That's like jettisoning Churchill in WWII because he supported Montgomery over Patton.

It's not about winning. it's about sending a message, side with Mitch then you'll regret it.

Last time Trump sent a message,Republicans lost the Senate because of his tizzy about Georgia. He fricked the Republicans on that one....but a message was no doubt sent.

McConnell is not the Republicans enemy.

McConnell won his on the votes.

Trump has yet to win the popular vote---but for the electoral college he would have never been President. Thankfully Hillary lost.

Popular vote Trump is 0-2.

Popular vote has absolutely nothing to do with winning the presidency, or don’t you know that?

McConnell-backed candidate vs. Trump-backed candidate in a primary. Who wins?

Why do either have to back or be backed by McConnell? They can just both say they support Trump, and then do whatever they want once elected. It's not like politicians aren't malleable. I'd imagine all of them trying for office will pay obeisance to Trump (regardless of their true feelings) rather than set up convenient McConnell v. Trump options.

R Candidates nationwide do not need to say they have McConnell's backing or back McConnell (over Trump) because McConnell doesn't require or need their stated fealty as a test, he'll just work with whomever takes office over the next six years of his term.

Of course I know that. You people are bashing a proven popular vote winner by comparing him to a guy that has never won a popular vote election.

There’s no such thing as a popular vote election for president, and without looking, I think it’s quite possible Trump got more votes in his first election than McConnell ever will in his entire career.

I guess Xi Freeman finally realized he was trying to sell McConnell as more popular than Trump. Dropped this one like a hot rock.
