Need to vote all of those bastards out. Good ones, bad ones, the POS governor.... maybe they will learn that it’s not about them, their pockets and the life style they choose to impose of the rest of us.

The biggest accomplishment was a Democrat introducing useless anti abortion legislation so that JBE could deflect from big tax increases, big government spending increases, big economic failure of his administration to keep up in the Booming National economy and a fast rising Southern average, and finally the flight of our beloved children and grandchildren out of Louisiana for good jobs!

I don’t think they did anything of a substance this year.
They seemed to try just enough to gin up enough for a re-election campaign.
I am starting to not to like our system of Odd and even legislative sessions and sessions that last for x days.
We may need a new legislative model for our state so that we can fix things for our state.
We definitely don’t need a Texas model where they only meet once every other year. We have too many problems to fix in that short a period of time.
Some legislators have too much power and if one wants to filibuster a bill and they are a committee chairman they can essentially kill a bill.

What? Why?

You’re telling me Senitrius’ Louisiana GOP didn’t get shite done??

Why? Why must everything be taxed? It’s fricking fantasy sports

Why?
Because next year is an even year and only fiscal matters can be brought up.
Although if they are creating or assigning taxes, I don’t know what wouldn’t be fiscal about it.

This never happens. Because everyone’s Rep is never the problem. “Oh he a good man”, meanwhile said Rep just goes to BR to eat and drink at Ruth’s and cast no meaningful votes.

Statewide ridesharing was big for people in the rural parts of the state. But outside that and the abortion bill it was a wasted 3 months.

In the interest of full disclosure, when the Legislature does nothing, that is almost always a good thing. But, when there are needs to be (and should be) addressed and they are not, that's a problem.
While not commending on the good or bad of any of them, a total of 643 bills were introduced for the 2019 Regular Session (either pre-filed, or during the Session [not including any CRs]). Of those, as of yesterday, only 123 had been passed and signed by the governor. LINK
Of those, such necessary legislation as:
Act 26 SB31 FANNIN ROADS/HIGHWAYS: Designates a portion of LA 34 in Jackson Parish as the "Second Lieutenant Harvel Moore Memorial Highway".
Act 32 HB49 M.WHITE PUBLIC BUILDINGS/GROUNDS: Authorizes the naming of the education building at the B.B. "Sixty" Rayburn Correctional Center as the Deborah "Andi" Cook Memorial Education Building.
Act 38 SB2 MIZELL ROADS/HIGHWAYS: Designates a portion of LA 25 in Washington Parish as the "Jerry Joe Rayborn Memorial Highway".
Act 65 HB68 THOMAS MTR VEHICLE/LICEN PLATES: Creates the "War of 1812" specialty license plate.
Act 71 HB232 TURNER MTR VEHICLE/LICEN PLATES: Creates the "Combat Veteran" military honor plate
Act 72 HB317 HOWARD MTR VEHICLE/LICEN PLATES: Creates the "Louisiana REALTORS" special prestige license plate
Act 94 HB66 TERRY BROWN HIGHWAYS: Designates a portion of United States Highway 84 as the "Veterans Memorial Highway"
Act 123 SB129 COLOMB ROADS/HIGHWAYS: Requires a local municipal or parish authority to allow certain pedestrians to stand in a roadway to solicit charitable contributions under certain circumstances.

They almost came close to thinking about considering voting to get rid of auto inspection stickers. But decided not to.

Perfect examples of useless, arbitrary parliamentary requirements that our legislature has put into effect in order to avoid doing anything other than passing show votes and using up that per diem.
There is no rational argument against supporting the legalization/regulation of fantasy or live sports betting, and definitely no reason that comports with conservative values or any type of belief in personal liberty.
The North LA Republicans are just as bad, if not worse, than the South Louisiana slime balls that muck up the legislature’s leadership.

And yet another dumb arse rule.

Why is fantasy being given priority over actual betting on sports anyway?

I'm guessing because it has already been voted on by the public and approved.
