So Zionist aren't or can't be Jewish as well? Don't think its mutually exclusive. Not all Jews are Zionists true, they live all over the world and are not striving for independent states in those locations.

You are conflating genetics, desire for self determination (zionism) and religion. These are all separate unconnected characteristics. I would certainly disagree that "virtually no zionist is jewish". I'm aware the Zionism that is connected with Israel started in Europe but doesn't mean they aren't Jewish.

I don't know much about religion, but I do know Zion isn't exclusively Jewish.

How can you be Jewish by blood? Judaism is a religion and not connected to genetics. Many migrants to Israel adopted/converted to Judaism and felt compelled to go to the newly established homeland.

I'm not going to pretend to shed too many tears over the "poor, downtrodden Palestinians" but at some level you have to realize what a specious argument you're making here. There were people living there under Roman, Ottoman, Abbasid and Umayyad rule. Whether or not they were living there under self-rule is an incredibly flimsy strawman. Having said that, human history is a story of the conqueror and the conquered. Israel has every right to keep the land. Palestinians have every right to hold a grudge.
