Did I hear Todd Herman correctly? No country has surpassed its daily average death total.

I guess he means there are no more deaths right now than on average.

I believe I just heard him say that on Rush's show.

That can't be right?

Probably not right because the sentence doesn't make any sense.

Compared to what? The prediction?

Sat in my car for lunch break. Tuned in to show. Heard him for about 2 minutes. Turned on audiobook and found happiness

Because they have been using maximum values as the averages to skew the numbers. They figure most people haven't taken statistics and won't notice.

He's saying that of the average deaths recorded in a country in a given day, the total death toll in each of those countries from Coronavirus doesn't exceed that overall average.

Do you mean the daily deaths from coronavirus have not exceeded the average daily deaths from all other causes? If so, then yes, that is definitely correct.

in order for that to be true mathematically then every countries average daily total would have to equal all of the days with none higher or lower

Which of course is a big no

Whatever. He's still pissed LSU whooped his arse in Austin, then followed that up with a 7-5 season.

So glad we didn't hire that dude.

That is definitely a better way of phrasing it

Probably worth noting that if Coronavirus daily deaths were the same as average daily deaths from all causes in the US, it would only take about a month and half for the US to have more deaths from Coronavirus than from WWII.

Yes, it does make sense.

The U.S. has a daily average death toll of 7,492 persons. So far the total number of deaths in the U.S. from CV-19 is 819 (the most recent number I can find).

Italy has an average daily death toll of approximately 1,750. Its total number of deaths from CV-19 is 7,503.

So Rush's stand-in is wrong.

(Edited because I interpreted a chart incorrectly.)

The average life expectancy of a male in Italy is 80, the average age of a male dying of corona in Italy is 79.
