...By the do nothing dims. Trump is the poster boy for a Machiavellian but he has done such great things for this country. Seems there is much money in politics in DC and the dims want to protect their money and power.

Kinda. It played well to the masses though to get elected. There is a lot of "protect our/my livelihood" going against that.

In truth, there is no "draining the swamp" since it can't be drained without losing half of the country along with it.

The “I’m smarter than the Generals” caused the former and current Pentagon Leaders heads to explode. They are scared to death their seats on those corporate boards are in danger.

I don't know if it caused the dims to soil their pants, but that shite pisses me off.

Either do it or STFU.

Did you mean disdain?

The promise itself didn’t, because just about every politician running for office says something similar during the campaign. It is Trump’s actions and follow through that has caused the disdain, IMO.

I don’t think he understood the depth and vastness of The Swamp when he made that promise. It’s been taking root since at least the Wilson administration, if not before. That doesn’t completely go away in 8 years, much less 4.

Trump is the first President in my lifetime that has at least made the effort.

Self inflicted, selfish, self loathing is the source of their disdain

I think that it definitely caused disdain for the supporters of cleaning up DC when he became the swamp.

I don't think you received the question properly because you brain is trained to immediately throw shade for something you assert he's failed at. Which is fine, no one hurt here.

The question is whether that mantra, drain the swamp, caused the Dems to go after Trump even harder.

I don't think any of us did. In thought when he was elected Hillary was going down. I had no idea they would be able to just brazenly stage a coup and have 99% of the MSM, social media, and celebrities backing it all the way

Not even the swamp themselves knew

Smart people will realize that there is no draining of the swamp - it's a myth of something that can be done. To do such a thing you have to eliminate the entire government since people on R and D are the swamp.

So smart people shouldn't be concerned about corrupt politicians lining their own pockets while supposedly serving the country? You're a piece of work, really!

It cause panic so severe they are willing to burn the country down to hide their crimes.

Everything that is happening is cause directly by their need to remove Trump from office or they are going to be exposed and punished. If he loses all will be forgotten and our country is lost to corruption and communism.
