Nunes announced they will have a closed session. Everyone knows that open session was pointless and only served as an opportunity for Schiff to grandstand
Exactly.

whatever you do don't ask him about the orthodox religion he knows it better than anyone. even an orthodox born in Ukraine.

So Nunes can then go run off to the White House to tell them everything learned?
Nunes has compromised his role as an investigator in these matters. I don't see how he can be allowed to remain in this role.

But where will you live next month? Why did you leave Philly?

Maybe because I do work for a place with people like the Rev. Dr. Roman Zaviyskyy and Dr. Antoine Arjakovsky and because, as a Greco-Catholic, I'm orthodox in communion with Rome...

New job. I haven't lived in Philly for nearly four years.

BREAKING: Chairman just cancelled open Intelligence Committee hearing with Clapper, Brennan and Yates in attempt to choke off public info.
Nunes said in his presser it would be closed door meetings with those three - so, your guy just might be making shite up.

I'm still reserving judgement on Nunes. He appears to have some dirt but also is a bit clunky and oblique in his presentation (to put it mildly) -which seems to have a primary effect of throwing gas on the fire.
On the other hand, closed session hearings seem reasonable in order to avoid the grandstanding (as someone already mentioned) and if they have the effect of producing a report whose unassailability is supported through some form of Committee consensus, all the better.
The only way I see to arrive at such consensus would be either a)evidence of illegal surveillance(either classified or public) that the Committee finds unimpeachable or b) there is no such evidence, which produces the default of the Dems gladly jumping on board.
The way Schiff is blathering like a stuck pig though, tempts me to assume there is evidence of skullduggery and illegal activity emanating from within the Obama Administration...

It sounds like it has reached classified docs from the NSA point so it has to be closed. The media asking Schiff if he was in touch with Obama, was not asked in a gotcha way. They were actually hopeful that their savior was in touch from Tahiti, or at least a ValJar spox.

There is NO meeting scheduled with the other 3 at this time.

Is Manafort going to turn himself in to authorities in Kyiv?
Judging by what's been happening in Moscow and Kyiv recently I don't think Manafort would last all that long in Ukraine-- Putin's cleaning house.

Unfortunately, it appears as though this wiretapping/Russians circle jerk is going to continue indefinitely - the chumps in chambers are just loving this as it keeps them from having to do any real work. All this noise from both sides with no verifiable conclusions is getting tiring. Come on Republicans, time to use your control and get some things accomplished.

If true, you would applaud that? Seriously, you find nothing wrong with the IC hiding things from their own oversight?

This is getting way out of hand. Look for the new dem talking point to hit the poli board soon. Released 5 minutes ago news. The pubs hired oppo research on the dems that is ran by a former spook that happens to have RUSSIAN expertise. So they think this is a story.
