Excellent article that a lot of you should read. I see A LOT of what is discussed in this on here. Lots of fear and conspiracies.
What are your thoughts?

In that vein, if media makers and cultural controllers are worried about the pathologies and actions of alienated conservatives, they really ought to throw them a bone. Otherwise, the dog will become rather upset at the derision and begin biting.

Congressional Republicans are the problem. They don't know how to get their message out to the public and are content to let the Democrats lead. Trump is a winner and a leader. McConnel, Ryan, McCain, etc are not.

I agree. The right has lost the culture war. It really sickens me to say and to see it, but the very notion of any kind of moral center is rapidly evaporating in the national popular consciousness. We have gone from being casually amoral in the 90’s to being actively immoral: the very idea of morality is now a joke. Personal growth is discouraged because expecting someone to try and be more than what they are is a hate crime. Adult responsibility is no longer a sacred trust, it is an imposition at best and a burden to be cast aside at the earliest opportunity at worst. Wisdom is laughed at; character is despised; strength is mocked; weakness is glorified. Every day I feel more and more like the proverbial stranger in a strange land. I’m glad you feel at home here, OP. This environment seems to suit you.
