re: DeSantis Tells Allies to Stay Mum About Trump’s ‘Nazi’ Dinner. It’s Part of a Bigger Plan

No one that complains about how swampy DC is should be anti-Trump right now.
Thinking that DeSantis has a better shot of getting elected doesn’t make someone anti-Trump. There are anti-Trump people who like DeSantis but that doesn’t describe all of his support. I suspect it describes a fairly small percentage once you get outside the beltway, and that most people willing to vote for RD already voted for Trump twice.

Goes both ways. But there are a lot more people on this board that have turned on Trump. As it looks now there will be more people that will not vote for Trump in '24 generals, so they can say "I told you so" than vice versa.
Different strategies. One group wants to go for the DC jugular to actually see change in '25+ vs the group that wants to play it safe in '24 and not get the legit change that is needed.

You’re wrong and trying to tell people what they think is hankish.

You are 100% correct!!
It is amazing how many sheep we have on the right that are blind to what is right in front of their eyes!!
DeSantis is exactly how you described him, he is a career politician unlike Trump!!
You can go back 40 years and watch videos of Trump saying exactly what he says today regarding America!
Nobody owns him, DeSantis is owned by big time RINOS……yet some here think he is original and pure as snow!!
Did they not learn from the Tea Party when once some of these elected people got to Washington they did a 180?!

Trump is good at ruffling feathers and picking twitter fights. He did a good job showing how to challenge norms.
The problem is that Trump doesn't actually believe in anything but Trump. He has no actual concern whatsoever for the things many of us care about, unless by promoting them he can bring glory to himself.
I'm fine with aligning my causes with Trump the man and then letting Trump promote himself and bring my causes with him. But that can only go so far and the limitations are really starting to show.
I don't think DeSantis is a savior, he's a politician. I think that's the disconnect. I don't owe Trump anything, he's just a guy. If he can help what I care about, great. If he's going to detract from it because his foremost priority is himself, then I'll look elsewhere if there are viable options. Is Ron one? Seems like it.

So, what happens after Trump? Even if wins and could blow out everyone in the intel community and military on day one, everything will just go back to normal when he is gone. And that won't happen -- those institutions will just lie and leak for four more years. Do you you really want that?

If Ron won and this didnt happen to him what would you think?

Posted on 12/2/22 at 10:22 am to Cobra Tate
This entire thread is premised on absolutely lunatic ranting about DeSantis
Posted on 12/2/22 at 10:26 am to Pettifogger
Ok that doesnt absolve you from your tds
Posted on 12/2/22 at 10:28 am to Pettifogger
Cajunangelle, GumboPot, jjdoc, and davidsheroes spend half their day on the hunt for evidence to demonstrate that DeSantis is a globalist cuck. Sad!

Your TDS is so severe you had to create an alt just to keep simping for him. Sad, creepy SDV.

As I said...2 different strategies. Trump may be narcissistic, but we know what we will get from him at the national level, especially now that he understands it all better and should go hard to the paint.
We know what Desantis can/will do at a state level, with a pro-Right legislature to back him up.
Desantis in DC today will most likely disappoint than live up to what people expect. And nothing will change by '25. Unless keeping to the DC status quo is wanted.
So I repeat...different strategies and end goals. DC cleanse vs DC status quo.

Pettifogger doesn’t have TDS.
No matter how many times you repeat it.
He is a conservative that understand that Trump is imperfect and has weaknesses.
Guess what. Just like every man on the planet.

You’re arguing like a liberal. Someone doesn’t agree with you so you attack their motives, and that’s no different from liberals claiming you’re only voting for Trump because you’re in a cult or you want to suck him off or you’re a white supremacist or whatever the ad hominem or the day is.
Almost all of us want legit change, we just don’t agree on the best way to try to get it.

You think a Trump will be able to get all our wishes done if re-elected? With a shite Congress?
