Desantis taking down flock cameras

All existing permits for automated license plate readers, even installed by local law enforcement, in state highway rights-of-way — are REVOKED
FDOT is also “ceasing the issuance of all future requests for LPR systems within its jurisdictional authority"

Is he taking down Ring cameras on houses too? They might be on private property but always surveil areas that are public domain like streets and sidewalks.

He's taking down ones on State roads, well within his purview. A private homeowner having a Ring Camera is not his call.

I asked 2 weeks ago would Florida or Texas be the first to ban Flock Cameras state wide. Guess we have our answer.

Florida is doing so well and Desantis is doing so many smart things that people want done that they need to just become their own country and tell the Federal government to frick off. The freest state in America is Florida.

Does Florida allow for redlight cameras?
Texas banned them years ago, but hasn't moved on the Flock junk. I'd imagine Abbot and the legislature will here shortly now that Florida has.
