There's a reason the DNC is teaming up with the Trump campaign in their attacks on Ron.

They know that Trump is the easier candidate to beat.

i'm not sure why people are acting like it is wrong to say DeSantis' response is weak. It's incredibly weak. You can't win nationally by answering questions about your record by saying, "well, I won my state." It doesn't work that way. Continuing down that path is a guarantee that he will not be in any national conversations.

Which leads me to believe that Ron DeSantis has no desire to enter the national stage by supporting or opposing Trump. He doesn't want to hitch his wagon too him, nor distance himself from him at this time. Draw from that whatever conclusions you want.

i almost wish Ron would enter the Presidential race just so people could watch him lose 49 states to Trump.

Exactly my point....

Trump to his eternal credit identified the zeitgeist of what is important to the working man and middle class. He has been pretty consistent in his fundamental beliefs over the last 40 years. He is basically an economic national populist. He was never that engaged on the culture wars given he was a lifelong New Yorker other than as a hard law and order and peace through strength guy.

The Bush/Romney/McCain wing has gotten to far away from the base and they lost site of what is important. Trump seized on that and basically destroyed the old paradigm. I will forever have a debt of gratitude to him for doing that.

DeSantis has the backing of people like Paul Ryan and Rino’s.
Tells me all I need to know.

All you fat MAGAts getting all butthurt because Ron isn't doing what you want him to do. "hE nEeDs tO aNsWeR To mE!"

The legislative session in Florida lasts from early April to early June and he's going to continue rack up policy win after policy win and then make the announcement in June or July of this year to much teeth-gnashing by MAGA world.

Ron will let his record do the talking.

Or better yet, here's a thread of Trump praising Ron over and over and over again on his covid response:

I guess the man that started MAGA openly telling the 20 Reps to shut up and elect Kevin without getting the concessions was him playing Intergalactic UNO?

Trump has major problems right now and the majority of them are self inflicted. I understand that the below is just a Twitter poll but it was one conducted by a big MAGA account with over 210k votes & ultimately I think it tells the story of how things are really going.

Whatever team he has advising him needs to be put out to pasture.

This word soup is no different than the Democrats shitty plan of calling everyone racist, xenophobic and homophobic.

Yall are two sides of the same coin, neither can adequately define what they are against.

I mean, that's the definition of being a national politician. They should answer to every voter who they want to vote for them, from every state. It's the entire premise of my point. Ron seems disinterested in doing so.

Are you willing to vote for Ron if he never answers question of national interests and instead says, "look how many votes I got in Florida, though."

On a basic level, most normal people are just tired of Trump.

The MAGAts, of course, will never tire of Trump and will forever long to touch Trump's tiny genitals.

But normal people are just done with him. He's Hillary at this point.

That's [D]ifferent.

RD was one of the most popular politicians in the nation on TD, right up until the second that Trump saw him as a threat. Now he's a globohomo and everything he's doing and has been doing in Florida is a deep cover play fake.

Clown world indeed.

He has not yet declared his candidacy. He will absolutely do it eventually on his timeline.

In the meantime, he's going to do what he's been doing and let Trumpworld continue to embarrass itself and twist itself into knots.

The only reason they would do this is to cause division and you are falling for it. They are still terrified of Trump.

Its pure ego. Nothing wrong with ego as long as its used for your good, not your detriment like Trump is doing.

Nobody is terrified of Trump.

How did the Trumpified candidates in the key swing state races (Bolduc, Oz, Hershel, Mastriano, Lake, Masters) do in November?
