I love a Republican, but WTF is he thinking extending not allowing Louisiana residents to rent vacation homes thru July 4? Holy hell he’s fricking up my family plans late June! Is this not ‘Merica? frick that guy

If I lie and say I’m staying for 14 days he’s fine with that!?!?! Makes zero sense - if I got it, u don’t want me there 14 days bro.....

He’s doing what’s best for his state. I applaud that. We’ve got a clown running ours into the ground.

Georgia has more cases than Louisiana. Are they banned from Florida too? Nope.

This is a result of having a dumbass Democrat Governor making people think our situation is worse than it is. John Bel hypes up our cases and stays shut down longer trying to get federal dollars while Georgia opens up and DeSantis thinks Louisiana is worse off than we really are and bans us.

Can you link this new order?

Each area submitted a plan to the task force. Those plans are up to the counties.

Some counties are looking to approve Louisiana. Stay tuned. I think you guys will be able. The counties don’t want to miss out on having you guys come over.

But, I have not seen a new order. The old one was from March.

I’d love to go to Florida too. At least he’s just saying a few weeks, as opposed to the dumb bitch here in NOLA already threatening to cancel Mardi Gras next year.

Don’t have a link but Rosemary called today and said Cajun’s aren’t welcomed due to 45 day order ending July 4. We had to reschedule. What a bunch of bullshite - want to spend $10k+ down there and they are like “nah, we good”

Damn I’m gonna have to buy a place down there - I like their style

We’re booked at Sandestin July 1-5. They told me today would you like to push your booking back to start on the 5th, when the 45 day Louisiana ban is lifted?

No thanks. Love going to Sandestin and Baytown wharf. But looks like this year I’ll be at caribe I guess. My dates aren’t negotiable due to other commitments.

Louisiana is on the gulf. You stay home on the "beach" there.

. Some counties are looking to take Louisiana off the list. I think you’ll be fine.

On visitsouthwalton.com it lists in bullets the restrictions, and links to the previous EO’s from March, which included Louisiana. Now as of yesterday date, it says they’re open for rentals, except for people coming from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Louisiana, for 45 days from yesterday.

Walton county will likely change their plan to allow Louisiana visitors.

I know a couple of counties are considering it. They just have to submit a new plan.

We know down to the zip code level where the hot spots are. If I’m Walton, I list banned zip codes not entire states.
