re: Deportations aren’t enough we need to destroy them economically

Like I said, we created this fricking mess by having politicians who beleive we need their babies for economic growth, taxes, and picking our crops as Jerry Nadler said outloud..
We didn’t create any of this but we have to clean it up. You can’t leave that many illegals in your country without there being hard consequences. We have to show resolve and put the burden on Mexico and the employers of anyone hiring them. They sucked our resources dry, increased our housing costs and increased the debt for our grandchildren. Every damn one of them should be shipped back to Mexico, regardless of where they came from. Make Mexico buckle from the financial cost of screwing us over.

It seems to me the people who made those decisions and enabled them to be made in our (your) own government have been "punished" in one of the only ways we can do so in a Democratic Republic (or at least in the quickest and easiest way way we can do so).
Oh no. Congress is full of them, on both sides of the aisle.
Fennos Paradox.
But we still keep voting them in.

We sure did. Its being done to augment the declining birth rates and population loss.

I support this. If you want illegal immigration to stop target the ones with money who support it.

Cut off federal funding to hospitals who refuse to confirm immigration status.
This isn't a great plan. Why would anyone say anything except American citizen not like the hospital knows or can enforce it..
quote:
Arrest mayors and city council members who interfere in federal investigations by aiding illegals.
Define interfere here.
quote:
ICE sweeps at construction sites and hardware stores.
-Go to their communities with high illegal population and put ICE offices there
Sure that makes sense.

this is the kind of overreach Democrats are hoping for so they can argue it in front of a judge and delay

The numbers who self-deport and don't come in the first place won't be reported.
Does it really matter if they're deported if all assistance and employment ends? They *will* leave on their own then.
We'll see if they "self deport" or not, and those who do self deport, have to cross the border. In some form or fashion, they'll be counted.
The ones who "don't come in the first place", logically don't count. You can't be deported if you don't come.
And why would they leave "on their own"? I wouldn't. Having nothing in America is a thousand times better than having nothing in Mexico. If I were here illegally, they'd have to hunt me down.
Trump is putting on a good show right now. We'll see how long it lasts. If this board is expecting millions to be deported, well it can surrender that fantasy right now. The best we can hope for is that the border gets shutdown.

Or just pay the Cartel to stop them. It will change overnight.

There should be an option for those illegals who don’t want to be rounded up & arrested, handcuffed & put on a plane where they can call a govt number, schedule a pickup, bring whatever items they want (within reason) & be driven to a plane and flown with dignity to any govt-approved country they desire.
That's a crazy idea. The illegals will just wait until they're ready to take their visit back home and call your number. Then they'll sneak across the border again.

We won on immigration and got an immigration bill passed for the first time in 30 years and didn’t even give concessions.
We won on immigration in 2016 and ran on it in 2020.
Help me understand

That depends on who "we" is.
I would argue that feminism and abortion are the two biggest drivers of the trend you mentioned, and it's not close.
And those are the sacraments of the left.

Take away the jobs and welfare they'll go home.

And why would they leave "on their own"?
Because they are afraid of the consequences of staying and being caught.
If Trump's deal with El Salvador goes through, you better believe people will be self-deporting. Because having nothing in Mexico is 100 times better than being in prison in El Salvador.
Posted on 1/27/25 at 12:29 pm to RaoulDuke504
Pass a law stating that if they do not self-deport, and we have to find them and deport them, they will never be allowed back into the United States, not even to visit and would never have a chance at being a citizen. If they self deport, they would have a chance again at legal immigration and citizenship.

Probably.
People are blaming the wrong folks. We are the problem. We can fix it internally if we have the guts.

if they cant send their remittance back home, more will self deport
Doubtful. The amount of $$ they make living in the US is way too much to self deport for. They'll get some mule to drive their cash back instead.

That might work for the criminal illegals that don't provide a social security number. But employers have no mechanism to verify if the info they are given is legitimate. So this will only serve to punish businesses for a problem entirely created by the government.
I'm pretty good with the rest.

So intimidation tactics? ...to what end?
What is the end goal of deporting all these people....where is the line of people who want to do these menail jobs for little pay?
