Horrible, and quite pathetic how so many on this board jumped down anyone’s throat for suggesting the US might have been at fault.

Hope the US opens the pocket book for these families when they’re able.

Second, military personnel do not stay off base in Qatar or UAE.

Even enlisted jarheads didn't stay on base at Bahrain (different country, I get it) but *some* stay on base, but the majority stationed there are in town..

Two things. There is literally video of a failed Iranian missile hitting that school and they day it happened it was in news out of Iran it was from their failed missile. Second, military personnel do not stay off base in Qatar or UAE.

Going by the missiles iran launched that hit other structures, would it cause that much damage at a good sized school because the others didn't. I think our military knows where our's hit and most likely they know we made a mistake but don't want to admit it just yet.

but this is why civilized countries don't put schools at missile launch sites. Muslim countries seem to have a habit of doing this.

To be honest it looked like an elementary school near or on a military base, which is very common on US bases as well. Abroad and domestic

NAS Corpus Christ is so close to non base schools, right? There are acres of territory between them and anything off base.

Yes, Iranian proxies have offices in hospitals, tunnels running beneath them, etc. None of the US Army, Air Force, or Navy bases I've ever been on, have anything civilian related within a mile of ordnance or operational areas.

Honest question.

In the event of long range missile strike/barrage… would they really keep everyone on base? I understand in Iraq it was alqaeda lobbing rockets over the fence, but what about in the current circumstance with these massive payloads coming from a few miles away?

Bahrain is different. I went there once. Its a tiny island and the actual base is small. Its almost like the whole island is the base really. When you are off the base there really is nowhere to go because its a tiny island so its more controlled. The others are huge bases in a large land mass.

I mean every base I've ever been on has schools, stores, hospitals and everything on base. Military bases are like small self contained cities. So yes they would have schools on base for the military kids. The base im at now use to have two schools but they ended up closing them and making all the kids go to school off base. When my kids were school age though they always went to school on base up till high school. Overseas all the schools are on base.

Really if you live on base you have everything you need on base. Church, Gyms, pools, grocery store, bx, liquor store, usually several little gas stations, burger king, Popeyes, taco bell, subway several other resteraunts usually Asian or Italian, bowling alleys, couple of bars/clubs. We use to have game stops and movie theaters. Community centers. Golf courses. Depending on the base.

What kind of school is this purported to have been?

I mean, these radical moose limbs weren’t exactly famous for women’s rights, including things like letting females drive cars, wear clothing other than full-body bed sheets, or getting educated…

Gross to even think of that when a tragedy like this has occurred. Disgusting behavior.

War is hell as they say. If we did mistakenly hit a school that's tragic. However, had Iran not been killing our soldiers and citizens over the last 47 years then this shite wouldn't have happened. Besides, the Ayatollahs are experts at slaughtering their own people. I don't know what makes the Irainian Ayatollahs tick other than the bombs they strap to their children to kill us.

I would like to think there is a space where we can support our military and also admit it royally sucks that this happened. Feel awful for those girls and their families.

98% of conservatives think this way. Liberals will just celebrate their deaths because they can scream emotionally “we got him now”. As if they give two fricks about little girls. If that school was in America they’d be screaming why aren’t pretend boys allowed in it to rule over sports and any other extra curriculum activities or they’d be screaming why weren’t they all aborted. Liberals celebrate aborting of 150,000 girls a year in America but now PRETEND to care about 150 girls in Iran.

The evidence has been there for days that this was clearly the US or Israel but people were using facebooks from an Israeli propaganda Facebook page to say it was a failed Iran missile launch.

So many people point at the Iranian propaganda without ever considering they are just sucking up propaganda themselves

Not really. There were videos and reports claiming it was a failed Iranian missile launch right after it happened. There was nothing else coming out suggesting it could be the U.S. until yesterday and Iran was flooding the propaganda waves yesterday with they had shot down an F15E - didn't happen and that they had shot down a B2- also didn't happen. Its not like the IRGC are not exactly like hamas in that they will flood the airways with lies because the only shot they have is crying to get political pressure.

No there weren’t. Go back and look at every X post about the school and you will see the same two Facebook screenshots over and over again. Any time someone suggested it came from the US / Israel they were insulted and those Facebook screenshots were posted.

There were already accounts way ahead of the New York Times doing the same analysis as them based on other strikes in the area.
