Dept of Ed and teachers unions were both designed and implemented to undermine the education of American children. Dumb people are more easily manipulated and indoctrinated. American communiss have been working here for a very long time. Glad they are finally being called out.

Correct, it's death knell. Basically the ringing of a church bell signifying a death.
I blame the Department of Education for the misuse of the term nail.

It’s “knell”, sure, but every time I see a college student interviewed on a policy issue, it feels like “nail”.

It killed public education.
USA was at or near the top for science and math prior to 1979. The decline is readily discernible from that point to today.
